Katherine's pov

Lily looked at me with compassion and all I could do was sigh and pull her close to me. Her arms wrapped around me tightly. We stayed like that for a couple of minutes, I just listened to the strong beat of Lily's heart."I wish that meeting could have gone better" I sighed, lily pulled up some out of the embrace and cracked a smile at me "I agree" the corners of my mouth lifted then I ran my hand through my hair "I need to talk to my parents soon...but I just want to stay here with you" lily chuckled some but then grew quiet I looked to her and saw a small frown "love?" I asked her eyes focused on me "I'm fine it's just you should go do that I want you to be as prepared as you can be for your mission." The concern in her voice and from what showed on her face somehow triggered my more primal side. A urge to prove myself to lily welled up inside me. She had to see that I was a alpha and worthy of her.

Lily's pov

Kay's eyes had brightened to the electric blue that they are when I see her as a wolf. Waves of power seemed to be rolling off her. She snarled out "of course" I wasn't offended at her tone identifying that she was just very determined not angry at me. I nodded my head and she climbed off me because in the heat of the moment she had ended up straddling me. She paced around the room some and I watched in admiration of her grace and power. Her eyes locked on to mine and I couldn't help but notice her blown out pupils, I gulped and became aware of my shallow breathing and the drumming in my ears. Kay swept her eyes over my body slowly and then shamelessly licked her lips making me blush even in my lustful state of mind. Out heated gaze seemed to go on for a eternity, but then right when Kay was in mid step towards me there was a knock at the door.

Katherine's pov

'Are you fucking serious?' Is the first thing to pop into my mind when I heard the knock. Lily who had almost black eyes and a flushed face groaned then flopped down onto the bed. I growled and stomped over to the door and glared at it, but then I sensed it was Zach and my curiosity for how his perimeter run went got the better of me. I opened the door and quickly examined Zach's condition and saw he wasn't injured. He also gave me a once over then smirked "sorry if I interrupted something" I rolled my eyes at him making his smirk grow for a second before he composed himself "I just got back from reporting to your father, he said I could pass the information onto you now" "oh" I glanced back at lily then said to Zach "ill meet you in your room one second" he smiled and nodded his head. I shut the door behind me and walked over to the bed choosing to sit on the corner a safe distance away from lily who I still wanted to jump. "It's crazy how attracted I am to you" lily said with a chuckle, I smiled, happy with my ego being stroked "the feeling is very mutual, have no doubt" we smiled at each other, then the stare we held intensified again. Lily was the first one to snap out of it "you should get to doing your stuff babe, I..I'm going to take a shower" I of course noticed the pink tint on Lily's face and couldn't help but smirk "oh shut up" she said with blush. I laughed some feeling a lot more clearheaded and leaned over to lily then pecked her on the lips, softly I told lily "see you in a bit."
