Lillian's Pov

I woke up to the sound of my father banging on my door he was yelling "get your ass to school!" I checked my alarm clock it was 3:27 I gulped and went to the door opening it planning to tell my dad the time but he grabbed me by the neck almost lifting me up he stared at me hard them let me fall to the ground walking to his room without a word I locked my door then checked the mirror my neck was bright red so I covered it with a scarf and decided just to get ready I doubt I'd be able to go back to sleep anyways I waited in my room till it was time to leave then hurried to my stop not seeing my father Sarah asked if I was ok and I said "yea" giving her a smile she looked unsure but didn't press we didn't talk after that once I got off the bus I saw Kay standing off to the side waiting I walked to her and gave a genuine smile "hey love" she said before kissing me I kissed her back with a little bit more emotion then I meant to after a couple seconds we both pulled away I saw a couple people had their mouth hanging open "....lily?" Kay said while pulling my scarf down slightly I knew she saw the red when her eyes glowed unnaturally she grabbed my hand pulled me off to a corner her outstretched hands where on either side of my head her breathing was hard "shh shh baby calm down" I pulled her body to me hugging her I felt her take a deep breath "I'll give you a week then I'm killing him" she said to the wall her ear touching mine my body stiffened and her words echoed in my mind I was feeling like I was about to faint but I squeaked out "b-but" I didn't know what to say "he's not in his right mind....I'll let him live if you get him into a mental institution" she got out of my embrace and looked at me "he's my father" her eyes looked sad "I only care about you" her words sounded like my fathers but it felt so different my father sounded like a selfish child while Kay sounded like I really was her world I couldn't say anything I didn't trust my voice but I nodded well if you consider my minuscule movement a nod Kay saw it though her eyes like lasers on my face we held hands to classes but I was in a different world the only thing I noticed that really hurt my heart was Sarah she looked devastated she didn't try to talk to me which I was glad about I don't think I'd be able to handle her being emotional when I got home I went straight to my room to think about what to do with my situation I know in my heart there is no way to keep my father

*One Week Later*

Katherine's pov

It's been a week since I told lily what I was going to do she hasn't said anything but I can tell she hasn't made any progress she didn't go to school today to spend time with her father I suppose. I walked slowly to the front door then knocked

Kay was here I could tell i glanced back at my father who was coming my way looking like his normal self I could feel tears threatening so I turned around opened the door for Kay then went out I couldn't stay there

Katherine's pov

He stood in front of me looking shocked "I'll give you a chance to choose to go to a mental institution he changed his chance then said "fuck you" my vision blurred from my rage but I managed to say "one more chance human take the offer and I won't kill you... lily will also be able to visit you" he didn't reply for a second "I'd rather die then one day see her as a monster!" it was unfair the fight but I didn't care while standing above him I asked "any last words?" "rot in hell" I pulled out my switchblade and slit his throat going to the kitchen I washed to blood off me after I followed lily's scent to her tire swing she was crying I took her into my arms she didn't resist then I went to my house carrying her I just went in through the window "lay down" I said gently she did that she had stopped crying now her eyes were blank I went over to her wanting to see an emotion hell I'd be happy with anger but I only saw that detached stare "I'll be right back" she made no movement to acknowledge she heard me so I kissed her forehead then walked out going downstairs spotting the person I was looking for "Emilia is everything ready?" she kissed my cheek then answered "yes Katherine" "send them" she nodded and I dismissed her my parents have a lot of contacts some of those contacts could easily make what happened today look like a random murder I went back to my room lily was asleep so I changed out of my clothes and got in with her I wrapped my arm around her she snuggled into me "goodnight love" I whispered right before I also fell asleep
