            Soulmates.

            Some say it’s already predetermined. Na kahit bilyong-bilyong tao na yung nasa mundo, merong isang tao na dapat eh para sa iyo. May isang tao sa mundong ito na hahanapin mo at hahanapin ka. It’s a story waiting to happen at kapag nag-krus na raw ang landas niyo, kinokonekta mo na lang yung mga tuldok para tapusin mo ang istorya.

            But I also wondered one thing. Paano kung wala yung sa iyo sa mundong ito? Na kahit anong paghihintay mo—walang soulmate na nakatadhana para sa iyo. Nag-iisa ka lang at walang nakasulat na para sa iyo.

            Predetermined? I call it a lie. Who gives the call? Sabi nga nila, binigyan tayo ng “Gift of Life.” Ikaw ang pumipili kung paano mo isusulat ang istorya mo. Ikaw ang bahala na gumawa ng desisyon para sa buhay na ipinagkatiwala sa iyo.

            Life is all about choices. I don’t need written mojos to tell me who I should be with. I am making that decision. I am choosing my soulmate and I am writing my own life story.

            I may regret my choices, but I also may be making the best decision of my life. Why wait for your soulmate when you can choose to run and meet that one person halfway?

            You live life, you make choices, you write your own path, or even fuse two worlds together. After all, it is your life story. Your soulmate can be anyone you choose to be. Just make it happen.

Hi everyone!

Thank you so much for reading this piece! I get asked about this story a lot so I guess I can leave a short message here for everyone. Although there are some biblical references in my story, most of the things I wrote on here were just made up. I made it up. I created these rules, I connected them together, and somehow this story came to life.

No I do not have an angel for a boyfriend (haha!)

The pictures of the characters that I shared before were pictures of my friends and were only used to model the characters. And no, my friend who was used to portray Alex is NOT an angel.
This story was inspired by reoccurring dreams about angels so I thought of writing one.

Thank you all for being so patient with me when I was writing this on top of me being a full time student before, part time writer, full time board exam taker, and now a full time ICU/IMC RN.

You guys are awesome. I may or may not revisit this story in the future (maybe for a spinoff, yeah?) so we’ll see. I am not closing my doors to anything.
