Faint whispers surrounded me, they mumbled words that made no sense to me. My body was entirely numb, and I had a pounding sensation in my head. I felt a cold hand touch my cheek softly fondling it. I open my eyes slowly to find Xavier, Samuel, and Linda around me, they all looked at me worriedly.

I picked myself with my elbows sighing, what the hell had happened? I touched my head groaning quietly to myself. I swear my dreams only kept playing horrible games with me, and I was getting sick of it.

“What happened?” I questioned them, licking my lips refreshing them.

“You passed out.” Linda responded handing me a clear glass cup full of water.

I took a sip smiling when the water refreshed my throat. “I was having the worst nightmare,” I told them. “I was dreaming that Arianna came over and said Alejandro proposed to her.” I chuckled quietly.

They all stared at me quietly. I quickly sat up, scanning their face expressions. “I was dreaming right?” I chocked on my own words.

Xavier grabbed onto my shoulder and gave them a tight squeeze. “Just breathe.” He said calmly.

That utter feeling at the bottom of my stomach crawled in, and immediately I felt sick again. So I wasn’t dreaming Alejandro did propose to her, he actually wanted to marry her. I took in a deep breathe trying to rationalize with the whole concept. Samuel stared at me as he watched me fight with myself.

“Am I missing something here?” Samuel asked confused. “I thought Alejandro loved the red head chick.” He scratched his head.

I stood up nodding. “He does, he actually does love her.” My voice cracked.

How could he do this to me? He had made me just beg for him to break my heart into a million of pieces afterwards. This was his revenge, his idea of getting back at me. I know I screwed up, but I never meant to hurt him. I loved him, but back then I couldn’t grab the idea of it.

“But you love him? What the hell is going on?” He asked frustrated.

I passed him walking into the hallway, I looked at the door then the stairway. Where could I go? Where did I want to be at, if either way I would break down and cry.  Xavier stood in front of me, sighing heavily.

“Please don’t do this again, don’t run away.” He pleaded me.

I shook my head. “I-I’m not, I’m just shocked, confused…hurt.” I scrunched my face in agony.

“That’s why he came by this morning to tell me he proposed to her, he wanted to tell me before he told you. He is happy Julie.” He said to me.

I glanced down at my feet nodding, my bottom lip trembled. “He could’ve told me he didn’t want me. He could’ve told me and let me move on.” I cried.
