National Star Wars Day!

As you may know, today is May 4th. Which is National Star Wars Day. (May the 4th be with you) Sooo... I'm making a oneshot/a involving Star Wars cuz I feel like it :)

Ben's POV:
Today is a very special day. As you may know, I was a huge nerd before Spy School. Now, I'm a huge married nerd with muscles. Lol I'm joking. (Not really.) I am 35 now and my wife is 37. But anyways, it's special for 2 reasons. One, it's National Star Wars Day!!!!! I love Star Wars!!!!! Now I know what you're thinking. 'Hold on. Did that just say MARRIED?' It did. Now you're wondering if I ever moved on from Erica. The answer is yes.

I'm kidding. How could I ever move on from her? Please.

But also, I didn't need to. A few years after we took down Spyder in Britain, she told me how she felt and I asked her out. She agreed and I felt like I was on top of the world. We dated for a few years and it was amazing. Anyway, the second reason why it's special, it's because it's our 10th anniversary. When I proposed and she agreed, we chose today to get married. And be we I mean I begged her until she gave up and agreed.

I'd gone out and bought all kinds of things to celebrate and had left after her so I could decorate. I'd just got some pizza and salad and pulled into my driveway. I saw her car and knew she was home. I assumed she was walking our dogs Bear, Mav, and Phoenix because the door was locked. I stepped inside and closed the door when someone jumped on me.

"Hey buddy." I said with a smile as I turned on the light.

"Did you know it was me daddy?" My 6 year old son asked.

"I thought it was a Spyder agent that came after me for revenge. Mommy trained you well."

"Yesss!" He grinned.

"Hey Coop?"

"Yeah daddy?"

"Where's your sister?"

"She's outside with mommy and the doggies."

"Wanna go sneak up on 'em?" 

He nodded as a mischievous smile spread across his face. I set the food on the counter and told him the plan as we snuck outside. The dogs were playing and swimming while Erica was teaching Dixie. 

We walked out and the second we did Erica said, "Hey babe. Did you scare him Coops?"

Dixie jumped up and ran at me. "Daddy!"

"Hey Dixie Sticks!" I laughed as I picked her up and gave her a hug. I spun her around and set her down as she giggled. "You're getting so big! I can't believe you're already 4!"

"I missed you!"

"I missed you too sweetie."

"How do you do that?" Cooper asked, amazed, still staring at Erica.

"Because your mother is brilliant. And an amazing spy." 

Erica got up and walked over.

"True. Happy 10th anniversary B." She said,

"Happy 10th anniversary to you too." I kissed her.

"Ew daaad!" They groaned.

I smiled at them and tickled them.

"Throw us into the pool!"

I picked them up and walked over to the pool. I sat down and gently tossed them in. They started swimming and showing me tricks. I took my shirt and valuables off in case I ended up in the water. Erica did the same, walked over, and sat next to me. She tried to push me in and I knew it was coming so I ducked and pushed her in. She stayed down for a while and I started to get worried when she swam back up. I tried to give her a hand when she grabbed it and pulled me in. We all swam and played as a family. It was getting late so we climbed out and watched our kids and dogs play in the water. She rested her head on my shoulder and I put my arm around her as the sun set.

"Crazy how life turned out, isn't it?" She asked.

"It is. But I wouldn't change it for the world." 

"Me neither." She looked up at me and kissed me before putting her head down.

"You tired?"

"Yeah. Raising kids is hard."

"I know it is. But we have each other and those angels over there are worth it." I said as I rubbed her arm. "I love you and I'm here for you."

"Do you think I'm a good mom Ben? Because I feel like I'm not."  I looked at her and smiled.

"You're doing amazing baby. They love you and I love you. And to add to all the stuff normal families have to deal with, we have to teach them how to be spies."

"When we found out I was pregnant, remember how worried I was? I was scared they wouldn't like me. But you were there right by my side the whole time. Thank you."

"How could anyone not like you?"

She giggled and we went back to watching our kids.

"Time to pack it up kiddos."

"Awww."

"Can we stay a little longer?"

"Well today is National Star Wars day so I thought we'd watch some but-"

"Star Wars?"

"Yesss!"

They both climbed out and went inside to change.

Erica looked at me and laughed. 

"What?"

"Well they got my strength and skill. But they also got your smarts and nerdiness. They're four and six and they run inside to get changed so they can watch Star Wars."

"Why thank you." I said as I mock bowed. She laughed again and I took her hand as we walked inside.

We all got into dry clothes and sat on the couch. Erica and I layed down and our two adorable kids snuggled in with us. Even the dogs hopped up onto the couch with us. We all watched Star Wars until we fell asleep. 

This is my family. The love of my life, my two amazing kids and 3 adorable dogs. This is us. This is perfect.
