"How long is this party going to last?" I asked walking into the bathroom where Nevaeh was getting ready. She practically begged me to ask our parents if we (really her) could go to this party that her boyfriend was throwing. It is supposed to be some back to school bash for the seniors. The only way Nevaeh was going was if I go. I also had to ask if we could stay at Alexis house too.

"I don't know, but are you wearing that?" I looked down at my grey tights and white shirt.

"I don't have anybody to impress"

"It's a party Heaven"

"I'm staying in the car anyways"

"Alright and I'm not exactly staying at Alexis house"

"What do you mean Nevaeh?" she didn't say anything as she continued to straighten her hair. "Vaeh"

"I'm staying with Damien" I sighed.

"Where am I supposed to stay then?"

"The car.." she mumbled.

"Great. Just great" I mumbled.

I do everything for her and she still treats me like trash. I don't know why I keep lying and covering for her when she would let me sleep in the car.

I stuffed my bag with my portable chargers that I had charging and my phone charger. I guess I'm going to need it.

Once my bag was packed, I slipped on my grey Crocs and headed downstairs to the living room. My parents were snuggled up on the couch while my brothers sat in the recliners watching Ice Age. I would much rather be here than enduring in some foolishness with my sister.

I sat down beside my mom and laid my head on her shoulder.

"I'm happy to see you leaving the house and with your sister" she said kissing my temple.

"I know it's been so long" I mumbled.

"So, this party ends at twelve and y'all will be in the bed right?" my dad asked.

"Yes sir"

"Baby watch out for your sister" my mom said. I nodded my head and started watching the movie. I'm glad I ate dinner before because I wouldn't be eating until tomorrow.

"Alright Heaven, I'm ready" Nevaeh said walking up behind the couch. I looked back to see that she was trying to put on a jean jacket on top of her outfit.

I shook my head standing up.

"Y'all be safe and lemme know when y'all make it back in"

"Will do" she said heading towards the door, and I followed behind her. I handed her the keys since I didn't know where his house was. I got in the passenger seat and turned towards the window.

"I put blankets, pillows, water, and snacks in the backseat for you" Ohhh how considerate of you Nevaeh.

"Okay" I responded.

"Yeah, Alexis is staying with her boyfriend and I'm staying with mine, soooo..."

"I get it" I mumbled, closing my eyes and letting my thoughts take over as usual.

I just don't understand Nevaeh. I don't understand you. How could you lie to our parents when they do nothing but work their asses off to make sure we have what we need and want. Now, I'm lying to them for her. I can't believe this. Ever since her and Alexis became close (I don't know how since Alexis and I were close to begin with), they leave me out. I mean I'm old enough to not complain about my sister and friend leaving me out of things, but I am still human. My feelings still get hurt like any other person.
