After Mack had shown Lela what Vicky had said both of them sat in silence. Both were horrified of what would come next. "My goodness I'm sorry Mack." Lela apologized. "Don't blame yourself. It isn't all your fault. I did this too. We both did." Mack replied. She began pacing back and forth.

"Do you regret being with me?" Lela asked with a hint of vulnerability in her voice. Mack stopped. She cursed internally. Her thoughts were racing. She looked over into Lela's ocean blue eyes suddenly falling into the familiar trance. "No" she thought. It was those eyes that tempted her into making these decisions.

"Of course not." Mack replied. "But that doesn't make hurting her right. She was a nice girl." Mack went on. She sighed running her hands through her hair in frustration. "She tried to kill you!" Lela said in a fearful tone. Lela stepped closer to Mack running her hand down her arm.

Mack felt guilty at how she melted into the girl's touch. This was so wrong. After everything that had happened tonight. "What are we going to do?" Lela asked. "Be careful. Vicky's really upset and I'm not sure what she'll do next." Mack replied staring out the living room window.

The next day at school was off. Mack wasn't earning any smiles from the girls like usual. Instead people were giving her strange looks. It was disturbing. Mack couldn't help but wonder why they were looking at her that way. Had Vicky told them what happend?

Mack turned the corner running into Brady. "Shit!" She cursed in shock. "Woah, what's going on?" Brady asked. "What do you mean?" Mack asked confused. "Vicky's telling everyone that you and Lela attacked her last night." Brady answered. "What? No! It wasn't like that at all!" Mack cried. They went to a safer area allowing her to tell Brady everything that happened.

"That's a relief. I thought that didn't sound like you. That was still pretty shitty of you guys. No offense." Brady managed to say kindly. "I know Brady. I know." Mack replied feeling guilt just thinking about last night, Lela's lips on her own. How sweet the girl tasted and the thought of her body pressed against hers.

"No!" Mack thought to herself. She mentally scolded herself for these thoughts. It probably wasn't safe but she needed to find a way to stop Vicky from spreading anymore lies.

At lunch time Mack sat at her usual table with Devon, Brady and the others. She looked around the lunchroom for Lela. She was nowhere to be found. Neither was Vicky. Something was off about this.

She heard the a gasp from behind her causing her to turn around. "If it isn't Mack the murderous dyke." Alyssa said. Everyone in the lunchroom diverted their attention over to them. Brady stood up opening his mouth to speak but Mack motioned him to stop. "Not that I have to explain anything to you but that wasn't true. Vicky tried to kill me last night." Mack replied fuming inside.

There was a moment of silence before Alyssa broke into laughter. It was odd. She stopped abruptly. "Apparently she's a liar too. She tried to kill Vicky so she could be with Lela. It's like she's living in some disgusting sapphic soap opera." Alyssa laughed. Causing everyone in the cafeteria to laugh except for Mack's table.

"Lay off Alyssa!" Brady said growing angry. Her words upset Mack but she couldn't help but wonder why both Lela and Vicky were missing. She needed to find Lela and talk to Vicky before this got any worse. Mack suddenly ran past her rushing out of the cafeteria. She could hear the students erupting with laughter.

She felt like she was living in a teenage horror film. The hallways were empty. She walked down further and further unsure of where she was going.

Vicky slammed Lela against a locker causing her to wince with pain. Lela tried to break free but Vicky's grip was too strong. "P-please stop!" Lela begged. "P-please stop!" Vicky mocked. "You fucking bitch! You think you're the love interest of some sort of angsty romance novel but you're the fucking villain! You stole my girlfriend!" Vicky cried.
