With one last reassuring kiss from his boyfriend, Taehyung and Jungkook began making their way downstairs and into the kitchen. Being nervous for Taehyung was an understatement. The word didn't even compare to the amount of nerves and butterflies he was feeling right now.

As the pair made their way into the kitchen, Jungkook was standing right behind Taehyung, his hand on the small of his back as he helped guide him. Taehyung nibbled long the inside of his lower lip due to nerves as he rubbed his palms together.

He offered a smile to the waiting parents who were sat at the kitchen table, having another quiet conversation amongst themselves, only for it to come to a halt when the couple appeared in the kitchen, standing at the doorway.

Instantly, Mrs. Jeon could tell Taehyung was already nervous, so she offered him a warm and welcoming smile as she gently patted the empty place across from her where Jungkook previously sat for the small brunet boy.

Taehyung felt a small amount of pressure applied to his lower back where Jungkook's hand was. He glanced behind him and up at the ravenette, his eyes round as his body began to tremble slightly from being so anxious.

Jungkook beckoned him with a tilt of his head and a reassuring bunny grin. It was like Taehyung was asking Jungkook for some sort of permission he didn't know his eyes were holding, and all it took for Taehyung to move was a nod of his boyfriend's head.

He took a seat across from Jungkook's mom who was still holding that warm smile on her thin, pink lips. He offered one back, in hopes it would settle the nervous and slightly awkward tension and energy around them.

Jungkook sat down beside him, reaching over and lacing their fingers together as he gave his boyfriend's hand a light reassuring squeeze. To Taehyung, everything was going good, and all he could do was hope it remained that way.

Mrs. Jeon noticed how Taehyung was slightly shaking, and she felt bad, thinking this was already too much for the small boy to handle all at once. It made her wonder just how bad Taehyung's anxiety truly was, because if he was getting worked up over something like this, she could only assume how it was at school.

"There's no reason for you to be nervous, Taehyung," Mrs. Jeon assured the small boy, offering another smile, and it seemed to have worked for Taehyung a little, because she watched his shoulders relax as he released a puff of a air through his nose, "We're not going to bite. We're just a little confused as to what's going on, you know?"

Taehyung released another shaky exhale as he nodded in response. He truly understood what she meant and why they were confused. They were gone for a little over a week and a half, and come back to Taehyung in their home.

"I understand," he finally spoke, his voice deep and velvety smooth, and Jungkook could hear the confidence in his boyfriend's tone, and he caused him to smile at him, feeling proud of Taehyung for being able to speak for himself, "And I'm really sorry."

"No, no, please, don't apologize to me." She held you her hands at him, stopping him from apologizing any more before giving her son a pointed look as she rested her arms on the cool surface of the table, "Jungkook's the one who should be apologizing."

"Which I already have," he quickly told Taehyung, nodding as he spoke to him. The smaller couldn't help the small boxy grin plastering his pretty full lips as he watched Jungkook try to save his own ass in a way.

"Anyway," Mrs. Jeon began, adverting their attention back to her as she looked back at Taehyung, sending one last glare to her son, "I'm not going to interrogate you. It's not my place to know where you've come from, or ask about your past. That's for you to know, and for you to know only."
