Max: *growls and gets down* I hate you.
Jerry: *upset* You don't mean that...
Max: You're right, I don't. I'm sorry! *reaches for him through the bars*
Jerry: *holds his hand smiling softly*
Max: You're so pretty. I want you by my side forever.
Jerry: I wish I could. But you know how the guards are. *nuzzles into his palm*
Max: *growls tightening his grip a bit* Those stupid guards.
Jerry: It's okay. I'll be back. *kisses his palm and let's go*
Max: I'll destroy everyone here if you're not back.

~ 2 hours later ~
Max: *pacing around his room growing restless* Where is he?
~ 7 hours ~
Max: *kicking the bars* Where the FUCK is he?!!
~ 10 hours later ~
Jamey: Max you're freaking out again.
Max: YOU'RE FREAKING OUT!! *ripping up his pillow*
Jamey: He never be back. *laughs*
Max: Shut up!! He WILL come back!!!
~ A full day goes by ~
Jerry: *hums and turns on the lights* Good morning!~
Max: You're back!!
Jerry: Of course I'm back. I said I would be.
Max: You're back! You're back! You're back!
Jerry: *looks in his cell* Oh Maxi... Did you rip up everything?
Max: Maybe...
Jerry: Max I was only gone for the night! My shift ends at 10!
Max: *whines* I missed you!!

I like to say that Max has a fear that his parents take everything he loves and kills them. He's scared that one day Jerry might get taken away and never come back.
