Lyra Thorne POV

"It's Thorne, Lyra Thorne," I say angrily to the man with the big white beard.

"I'm sorry, Miss. Thorne. Miss. Thorne meet Harry Potter," the man says. My eyes immediately snap to the scrawny boy standing besides him.

The boy, Harry Potter, stutters to say anything. "Cat got your tongue, Potter?" I smirk. "Don't worry, I'm not here to steal your fame."

"That's not what I'm worried about," Potter says.

"We're having the Sorting Ceremony, Miss. Thorne, but you'll be starting with the fourth years" the man says.

"And who are you again?" I ask.

"Professor Dumbledore," the man replies.

Harry Potter POV

Lyra Thorne. My sister. Who hates me.

Professor Dumbledore leads the way to the Great Hall. I go sit down with my friends, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. "Who's that?" Ron whispers into my ear. "She's definitely not a first year."

"My sister," I whisper back.

"Your what?" Ron and Hermione say in sync.

"Apparently, I have a sister. Her name is Lyria Potter, but she goes by Lyra Thorne."

"A thousand years or more ago,
When I was newly sewn,
There lived four wizards of renown,
Whose names are still well known;

Bold Gryffindor, from wild moor,
Fair Ravenclaw, from glen,
Sweet Hufflepuff, from valley broad,
Shrewd Slytherin, from fen.

They shared a wish, a hope, a dream,
They hatched a daring plan
To educate young sorcerers
Thus Hogwarts School began.

Now each of these four founders
Formed their own house, for each
Did value different virtues
In the ones they had to teach.

By Gryffindor, the bravest were
Prized far beyond the rest;
For Ravenclaw, the cleverest
Would always be the best;
For Hufflepuff, hard workers were
Most worthy of admission;
And power-hungry Slytherin
Loved those of great ambition.

While still alive they did divide
Their favorites from the throng,
Yet how to pick the worthy ones
When they were dead and gone?

'Twas Gryffindor who found the way,
He whipped me off his head
The founders put some brains in me
So I could choose instead!

Now slip me snug about your ears,
I've never yet been wrong,
I'll have to look inside your mind
And tell where you belong!"

"Noavek, Ylira." Professor McGonagall announced.

"HUFFLEPUFF!"

"Drake, Magaret."

"RAVENCLAW!"

Professor McGonagall kept on calling names until she got to Lyra.

"Lyria Potter," Professor McGonagall says. Everyone gasps and stares at me.

"Potter never told us that he has a sister," Draco Malfoy yelled out.

"Thank you, but you got my name wrong," Lyra says. "It's Thorne, Lyra Thorne. I am not a Potter."

Ron and Hermione look at me.

Abruptly, Lyra sits on the stool and McGonagall places the hat on her head.
