Strangers Again

I can hear your heartache through the phone

A sound more painful than the love that is gone

The voice of a friend lost in a time unknown

I wish for an end to this dreadful tone

But both you and I know this won't change

That who we are will never be the same

We are once again strangers to each other

From where it began to where it ends

To be less of a friend and less of a lover

Life takes a trip down a path so quickly

Time flies and does't let us know it departed

But even while I cannot see you physically

Everything comes to an end where it stared

I want to steal back the beauty that was lost

Bring the past back and hold it in my heart now

To take away the memories we had before

You won't again be a part of who I am

You aren't the person I live for anymore

And as I see the life I cherished disappear

My faintest smile faded from a world we know

It's not my place to any longer be here

But I really have no where else to go

Weep for a boy who lost what mattered most

A child who lost a grip of who he really is

Because right now I feel just all alone

Though I wish to wish you were here

Instead now we go to an end we hadn't known
