Life or Death

We swing on a balance every single day we live

With nightmares and dreams that fill our heads

Tears of sorrow and tears of pure unending bliss

But sometimes we sway towards the dreaful end

And we let it conquer us no matter how we defend

This life and death struggle; we'd die for it to end

Waste away the hopes of all our worthless lives

All our pathetic, tiny dreams we dare to live for

Our quarrels we believe will end if we give our time

And yet life is so great; wouldn't dare risk changing

Our broken hearted love fills our world with meaning

Then those quiet fears leave our lives ever changing

Death is an extreme worse than our lives could ever be

No one can deny the marvelous pleasentries of our lives

Death can cure ailments we fought all our lives against

Dreams break our morning tears with a small view

The reality we once longed for now a hope renewed

With life a nightmare and no one sees from our view

Breathe a sigh of relief when your weight is lifted

A soul floats to a wonderful end we waited long for

But a nice thought when we await our gentle return

Never again do we wake from our wonderous dreams

Don't awake to a nightmare that never ends it seemed

Don't know until we sleep how horrid are our dreams

But the life that we live is so broken and is so painful

Never again can we enjoy our pleasent friend's company

Our loving shadows return no smiles to our face there

And when we look back we see only a life we wanted

And it isn't ever a question to what we really needed

Life over death is all we really should have ever wanted
