Sincerity

Hear the sincerity in every word that I say

Of how wonderful you are every single day

The lights shine bright in the month of May

And you manage to shine in your own way

The sadness can wash over you like a wave

Damning you to feel the torment of a slave

Your glossy eyes staring into a dismal grave

And still someone that I would dare to save

Hatred of the sinner filles your ears with lies

It seems like no one listens to hear your cries

But when all the hope that you live for dies

Can only I see the beauty in your calm eyes

I don't say anything purely out of affection

Nothing would I say for a surprised reaction

Sincerelly I speak to you for your attention

A war with yourself is the worst contention
