Life is filled with choices and decisions
To improve ourselves we must be driven
We make our mark on the path we go on
Abandoned, deserted, seen by absolutely no one
Sometimes it becomes hard to go on
We spend our time traveling down this way
But then all of a sudden we change one day
A new path we take, its sad but its true
We give up what we had for something new
Very quickly it becomes hard to tell what is true
Down a new path we learn who we are
Before we know it, we've gone pretty far
We've forgotten who we were and have become someone new
We'll never be the same no matter what we do
And so we better not be afraid of something new
And yes, that may mean finding new love
New friends, new companions, people who know of
thw sacrifices it takes to take a new path
but if thats what it takes to smile and laugh
You and I will both take a new path
