I normally hate crossovers, but there is onethat I absolutely love: An Inuyasha/ Yu Yu Hakusho one. Therefore I present youwith this story:

"What can I get ya Kira?" he asks as I take a seat on one of the few stools at his yattai. I smile at his back as he fumbles around with some oil jerry cans.

"Some curry udon for me Yusuke. Oh, and two yakitori and some yakisoba to go." I quickly add, dumping my backpack and umbrella next to me on the floor.

He turns around, fixing his warm brown eyes on me and raising his brow in surprise. "To go?" he repeats.

I nod. "That friend I tutor is ill again. I thought I'd bring her over something nice." I explain while tearing some paper napkins from its holder, skillfully avoiding his eyes.

"Right," he mumbles, getting out the necessities. "So, how's work been? Koenma been giving you any pain?" he asks as he does every time since I started as a Spirit detective. He's sounding a little nostalgic when he does. I swear he misses being a Spirit detective.

I chuckle. "No, not at all. Things are not like they used to be in your time; Just some riff raff to take care of here and there." I tell him, chuckling again when he scowls.

"My time?! You're making me sound old! I'm only twenty-one! I'm supposed to be in the prime of my life here!" he scolds. "And nobody says riff raff anymore you know?" he adds.

I just shrug before pulling out a pencil, turning to doodle on the napkins and leaving Yusuke to the cooking.

"Evening." a smooth voice greets, as a familiar redhead takes up the seat next to me.

"What's up Kurama? The usual?" Yusuke greets.

"Hey Kurama." I greet calmly, not having my eyes leave my drawing as I'm too into it.

"It's been a while." Yusuke starts up the conversation before silence gets a chance to take hold.

Kurama nods next to me. "It has. I've been rather busy, but so have you I suppose. How is Keiko?" he asks, making Yusuke groan as he dumps a bowl in front of me. I take a deep breath to inhale the nice smell wafting from it.

"Don't get me started. How many bridal magazines can a girl buy? Why can't she just pick a dress already?" Yusuke complains before turning to me. "Kira, you're a girl..." he starts, making me roll my eyes.

"What gave that away?" I ask sarcastically, splitting my chopsticks.

"Anyway..." Yusuke says, eying me with annoyance. "If you were looking for a wedding dress, would you take months?"

I shrug. "I... wouldn't know?" I answer hesitantly. "But just tell her you'll think she looks beautiful in anything. For bonus points." I advise.

Yusuke thinks it over for a moment. "Alright. Thanks for the tip. Have a beer." he nods, slamming a can down in front of me. I blink at it awkwardly before looking up at Kurama. "Would you...?"

"Sure. Thank you." he chuckles while taking it. At least someone remembers I'm still underage.

As I turn to my meal, I feel a pair of eyes on me, making me feel self-conscious. I glance up to find Kurama's forest green eyes staring back at me intently. "How have been Kira?" he asks kindly.

"I've been good. Nothing death defying." I tell him, making his smile widen.

"You sound almost disappointed." he points out knowingly.

I laugh awkwardly, "Well..." I start before Yusuke butts in.

"Listen kid, I'm not saying you're weak or anything, heck I trained you so you ought to be tough, but nearly getting killed still hurts like shit, no matter how hard you've trained. When I was your age, I didn't even want to go on missions." he tells me.
