Shattered

Her heart of stone turned into glass, and right on impact shattered fast

She felt the pain, sharp as nails

Penetrating her walls as she wails

Crying out & shutting down

There's nothing that can be done now

There's no sun to make her smile

She feels like she's on self trial

Guilty conviction with an innocent grin

She knows she'll never win

The dreams she sculpted, goals achieved

Tell the story of a heart that once hung on her sleeve

Ignorant happiness, temporary bliss

Of course that was before all this

It has yet to be noted who stole her light

It has yet to be noted who stole her flight

But broken winged birds can eventually fly and she may be broken, but she's still going to try
