What Bothers Me

Occasionally when I'm feeling the blues

I pull out our old conversations and pretend I'm still talking to you
I go through the motion of typing each word

All over again

As if it was the first time, not the last

Sometimes the words change
I form new messages in my brain
And my fingers do the talking
But I never send them... I wouldn't dare
Sending them means I still care

That it still bothers me

And it doesn't still bother me
It never stopped bothering me
But I have to act like it doesn't

And that

That is what bothers me

Seeing you smile bothers me
Hearing you laugh bothers me
Watching you out with our friends bothers me
Picturing you holding her bothers me

It all bothers me....

Because I'm not apart of any of it

And that...

That is what bothers me
