MITCH'S POV

"HYAAA!" I let out a yell as I jumped from behind a pile of stone blocks and ambushed a skeleton. Once I pulled my sword from it, the bones fell to the ground. I grinned.

"Got it, Biggums!" I called. Jerome gave a thumbs up from where he was hiding. "Great. Skellies get kinda annoying after the first few." He said.

I nodded. "Yup. Well, wanna keep going down? I think I saw an abandoned mine over that way." I said, pointing farther down the cave system.

Jerome nodded. "Yeah let's go. I hope there's iron. I need to make a new pick soon."

"Well then we'll need wood too."

"... Ew Mitch."

"Shut up! I meant we need some wood to make new picks. Obviously."

Jerome chuckled a little. "I know, it's just fun to mess with you. Anyways, I think there was an exit the other way. There should be trees near by there." He said, pointing back.

"Then let's go!" I cheered, already on my way back up. We've been mining for a while, so I don't know if we're even near he woods still.

We could be in a whole other biome actually. We've been mining for hours.

After a couple of turns, we found a light, showing an exit. "Found it!" I called. Stepping outside, I took in a new surrounding.

It was actually the transition between the woods area and a sandy lot that we dubbed a beach since it was flat and beach like rather than desert like.

"Wow man. Memories." I said. We haven't been here in years. I almost chuckled remembering little us running around, playing in the sand or water.

We had stopped coming here when squids started to invade Minecraftian waters. That was years ago.

"Man, what a coincidence, huh? I miss this place." Jerome commented. "Me too." I nodded.

"Well, let's started collecting wood. I think we only need a tree each. That should give us enough sticks." He said, heading towards the woods. I pulled him back.

"Aw, com'on! Let's go swimming instead!" I whined, tugging on his arm. With his stupid bacca strength, he didn't budge. He merely sighed.

"I would love to but we didn't even bring swim trunks." He said, looking out towards the water.

"Hello, we're dudes. We can just strip down and get in. Com'on you know you wanna." I said.

(A/N: NOT TURNING INTO MEROME WE HAVE ENOUGH SHIPS.)

Jerome laughed. "You just want me to get naked, don't you?" He chuckled.

"Ew, sorry but nobody wants to see that! Just in our boxers, hello!" I exclaimed. (A/N: seriously, my guy friends WILL do this. Guys are lucky .-.)

"We've been mining foreverrrr. We've been working hard and I think we deserve a break."

"Well, things HAVE been stressful at the base.... Alright then! Let's strip!" He cheered. I laughed. "This is why people make gay fanfictions of us. You know that right?"

We both hurried and jumped into the ocean water, not caring how cold it was. We actually enjoyed ourselves. At some points I couldn't help but joke about Merome only to be wrestled underwater by Jerome. We still had fun though.

But when he did that the last time, I saw something under the water that caught my eye. In the murky darkness, I saw a glint of something. Iron blocks.

When I came up for air again Jerome smirked. "Had enough?" He questioned. "Yeah dude. But not because I'm giving up. I think there's something down there." I said, pointing under.

"Huh? What?" Jerome asked. I shook my head. "I could be mistaken, but they looked like iron blocks." I said.

Jerome quickly went under to check it out for himself. After a couple seconds he came back up. "Dude! I think it's a hidden squid base!" He exclaimed.

"Wow, really?" I asked. He nodded. "And I think we would remember having to invade this beach for a base. This one is still active! We've gotta tell the others!" He said.

He started back for land but I grabbed his arm. "Wait. What if we check it out? We have weapons, we can beat those bastards if we have to."

Jerome looked at me like I was crazy. "Mitch, for one, we're in our boxers. Second, what makes you think we can take out a small base by ourselves? I think we should go back and make a plan with the others."

"Why? So the squids can find out about our plans again?" I snapped, suddenly angry. Jerome looked at me in shock.

"Hey, wait a second, do you think there's another spy in the base?" He asked.

"No! Well... It's just that... It's kinda hard to trust anyone other than you and me at the moment. I trusted Ty and look how that turned out...." I said. "I don't want to risk it! We lost a lot of soldiers last time."

"But what makes you think we can handle it?" He asked. "This time we really do have the element of surprise." I said with a grin.

Jerome sighed with defeat. I knew he just couldn't say no. "One more problem, Mitch." He said. "What?"

"We're still gonna be in our boxers."

TY'S POV

I sighed for the millionth time in the past few days. So far me and Jason have had to eat raw fish, drink squidy water, and keep each other entertained.

"So...." Jason started off.

"Shut it Jason." I plainly said. We've been just sitting here, thinking of a way of not drowning outside of the air bubble. "Just trying to lighten up the mood." He said.

"My boyfriend thinks I don't love him and is going to fall in love with a criminal instead. Sky Army, along with our own armies, is going to be defeated. Squids are going to win the war. How could you possibly make this situation any better with 'so...'?" I asked.

Jason merely shrugged. I shook my head. "We need to think of a damn plan but there is no fucking way we can do it!" I exclaimed.

"Hey, don't freak out. Hopefully the guys either find out that something's up with Sub or they find us." Jason said. I rolled my eyes. "And how would they find us? If you haven't noticed, were under water."

"Yeah but I don't think we're too far under. If we were, we would've drowned just coming down. Plus, I think we're somewhere close to the base. At most we're in the next biome over." He explained.

Thinking about it, he was right. Sub couldn't have brought us over so far and still have enough time to get back to the base unnoticed. We had to be somewhere close.

Maybe by the shoreline...
