*Edit*
So, this is my first story here. I posted it on Quizilla before, but I decided to spice it up a bit and post it here as well :D I'm sorry if there are any spelling mistakes. I'm trying to work on that, since I hate errors etc. Oh, and sorry if there are any grammar mistake things and the mixing up of tenses. I tend to do that a lot :P. Anywho, hope you enjoy and I'd love it if you could vote/favourite ? 0:D

- Chapter 1-

I sat patiently in the car, while mum and dad put my luggage into the car.

"Are you ready?" my mum asked excitedly, closing the boot of the car, and getting into the driver's seat. I nodded slowly, not feeling very enthusiastic. I knew perfectly well that this would not be a good start.

My parents are divorced. Well, theyjustdivorced actually. I didn’t really know the reason, but I was on the other hand glad I didn’t. Probably all the fighting they’ve been doing for the past couple of months.

They both decided that I stay with my mum after that, since my dad was going to move to another country. I sighed deeply, as my mum turned on the engine, and backed out of the driveway.

"You're going to love George," my mum sighed, when we stopping at a red light. I raised an eyebrow.

"He's so charming,” she added. I pretended to show no interest ... until she mentioned George’s son.

"Even his son is charming," she said, tapping the steering wheel and singing happily. I groaned. This was SO not what I was hoping for. I mean, so what about his son … it’s not like I’m going to like him, right?

I reluctantly got out of the car, once we reached George’s house. It was a grand white freestanding house, practically surrounded by grass and bright green trees.

I picked up my luggage bags from the back of the car, and carried them up to the front of the house. George was waiting for us.

"It's wonderful to see you both!" he exclaimed, a big smile on his face. I forced a smile.

"And you must be Abigail?" he asked looking at me, as he took the luggage from my mum's hands. I nodded slowly. He bent down and kissed my mum on the cheek. She giggled, and they started their own conversation. I decided not stick around to hear it.

I lifted my luggage bag, and headed up the porch steps. "Which room is mine?" I asked, blocking the sunrays from my eyes. "It’s the door that has your name on it!" George called to me. I nodded, and headed inside. That seemed obvious.

The house was pretty big, if you asked me. The walls were clean and white, with pictures of George and some other people I didn't know. I headed up the stairs, careful not to ruin the blue carpet on the wooden staircase.

"May I be of any help?" a male voice said. I froze on the spot, breathing deeply. I slowly turned round to see a bulky guy of about 17 stare at me from the bottom of the stairs. He had golden blonde hair and piercing green eyes.

I raised my eyebrow. Is THAT what my mum called ‘charming’?

"Let me take that," he said, running up the stairs taking hold of my luggage bag. I shrugged and let him take it from me. "I'm Tyler by the way," he added, looking at me. I faked a smile and continued walking.

“Well, aren’t you going to say anything?”

“Nope. It’s not like I have to.”

“Well, that’s a nice way to greet someone.” I shrugged again and continued walking, and headed straight for my room. I didn’t feel like wasting my time with a blonde freak like him.
