“Aight, everybody down in the kitchen right now!” I yelled.

Kesha looked at me confused.

“What’s going on?” Kesha asked looking at me.

“I got a surprise for everybody.” I said.

She just stared at me like she knew I was up to something…I mean I was.

“Okay whatever.” She said feeding Hayden.

Everyone came downstairs and they sat at the table staring at me.

“Daddy, what’s up?” Arielle said smiling.

“Ya’ll remember how we was gone the entire winter break?” I said.

“Yeah, why?” Katelyn asked looking around.

I glanced at Chris and Maurice and they were just staring at me too.

“Well, I thought it was time for us to move on from this place we at now.”

“Khalil…what are you saying?” Kesha asked cautiously.

“I got us a new house…it’s ten times bigger than this we in now. I just couldn’t do it here no more, I mean it’s getting crowded.” I said staring at her.

“Where did you get the new place at?” Tyler asked.

“Atlanta.” I said.

“KHALIL! ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?!” Kesha shouted.

I laughed.

“It was a joke, it’s like in a different sub division not too far from here.” I said smiling.

“Thank you, but that was not funny at all.” Kesha said staring at me hard.

“Get that frown off your face and smile. You gonna love it anyways…it’s ready now if you want to go over and look at it but let me just tell you this. It’s big as hell.” I said to her.

“Can we please?!” Katelyn begged.

“I wanna go to now that you said something.” Arielle said.
