Harry and I walk into the kitchen with our fingers laced and us smiling at each other as memories of the previous night flooded our heads. It got pretty heated and I hope Niall couldn't tell but when we walked into the room all the boys looked sort of down.

“What’s wrong?” Harry asks, reading my thoughts.

Louis sighs. “Today is Paige’s last day..” I feel like I fell out of a tree and hit the ground hard. I had totally forgotten that my flight for home leaves tonight. The last two months had been the best of my life, and I honestly had no reason to go back to Ireland. Nothing is there, besides my parents. Here I have my brother, the boy I love, and my three best friends. But I know my parents miss me, I have friends there too, and it would be the right thing to do. I'm not destined to be in big London, I belong in little Mullingar, where everyone knows everyone. Where I fit like a puzzle piece. I’m not British. I’m Irish. I have to look past the illusion and realize this isn’t my home, not matter how much it feels like it, not matter how much I want it to be.

I feel Harry’s hand tense in mine and I know that me leaving probably means an end to us. He’ll say it’s too far. He’ll say it’s not worth it and we’ll probably never see each other again. I feel a sting at the back of my eyes because the thought hurts so much. I love him.

“Paige......let’s talk,” Harry says quietly guiding me out of the room. He sits on the couch and I panic.

“This is it, isn’t it,” I say quietly, not meeting his gaze.

“What?” he asks and I can tell he’s confused.

“This is the part where you tell me long distance relationships don’t work. That I need to go home where I belong. That you still love me and always will, but you’re setting me free,” I manage to get out, even though my voice is cracking and shaky. He looks into my eyes and if I had one word to describe the look he gives me, it’s hurt.

“Set you free? You think I love you that much?” He says almost offended. I swear I have to pick the pieces of my heart from the carpet.

“I love you way, way more than that Paige. If you lived across the world I wouldn’t let you go,” he says, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear. “You’re my everything,” he whispers. No, no, no, no.

“No, don’t say that. It’s just gonna make it so much harder to leave you behind,” I say.

“Paige, we will make it work. We’ll figure something out,” he says kissing me. I pull away and nod.

“I love you,” he says smiling.

“I love you too.” I say leaning in and kissing him passionately as a lone tear runs down my face.

---

The boys and I decide to spend my last day sitting around, hanging out, watching films. Which I am perfectly happy with. Today I realize how much these boys mean to me and how much I will miss them. Then the dreaded time comes.

“Paige, we have to get going, you’ll miss your flight,” says Louis standing up. I hide my face in Harry’s shirt, refusing to go. I groan and feel myself tearing up.

Louis sighs.

“They can’t come so lets all say our goodbyes here,” he says. The boys all stand up and get in a line. First is Zayn.

“Bye Zayn, I’ll miss you so much,” I say as he engulfs me in a hug.

He’s crying. Oh no...

“You’re like my sister Paige. Tell me you’ll visit,” he pleads into my shoulder.

“I promise. And Skype,” I say before kissing his cheek and turning to Liam.
