first day of school. here goes nothing. i grab a granola bar from the counter and run outside. maddie was already waiting for me in the car, drinking her iced latte. maddie dropped me off quickly and i ran into the large building. there were kids everywhere, everyone with their best friends. i anxiously looked for annie, but i couldn't find her anywhere.

so now i was roaming the halls of la high alone. just what every girl always wanted. i was in the middle of wondering what annie might be doing when a voice cut me off.
"well if it isn't mackenzie ziegler?" i heard nadia turner say. i turned around to see nadia, lauren orlando, and lily chee all staring me down.
"oh hi guys! how are you?" i said casually.
"hey... um it's really... nice to see you again." lauren said awkwardly. lauren and i were really close at some point but we drifted apart after nadia and i had our huge fight...
"i'm good actually! just waiting for my BOYFRIEND to come find me!" nadia said eying me.
"who's your boyfriend?" i played dumb.
"johnny orlando... have you ever heard of him?" nadia said staring me down AGAIN.
"oh yeah, i've talked to him like once or twice.. pretty chill guy." i smiled.
"mhm." lily chee said, making eye contact with nadia. nadia opened her mouth to say something else but she was interrupted...
"guys stop questioning her, the fuck... we're going to be late for class anyways." lauren said looking at the ground.
"fineeee, you're such a smartass lolo." nadia said. i rolled my eyes ONCE MORE.
"well nice catching up, see you around!" i said. as much as i hated nadia, it was better than standing here alone.
i kept walking around the hallways looking for familiar faces...
and then i saw him.
blonde hair, green eyes, just like the pictures he sent me. cuter in person.
he was standing by the wall, brushing something on the wall?
i moved closer and was shocked with what i saw.
there was johnny orlando, kissing none other than my best friend, annie leblanc.
