Drake watched from where he was stood as she walked around greeting the other people at the party. She was supposed to go to the dinner beforehand and travel to the party with them but something had pop up causing her to cancel. But as promised she still made it to the party.
She wore a fitted sleeveless red dress that stopped mid way down her calves, with a deep plunge that allowed her cleavage to peak through. On her feet she sported a pair of open toe black stilettos that added a few inches to her height and lengthened the appearance of her legs. She had chosen to go with her natural hair in a side part and straightened - making it stop mid way down her back - and had kept her makeup minimal.
"Congratulations," she said with a big smile, as she walked into his arms, sharing an embrace. He placed a kiss on her cheek and just took a moment, to enjoy the feeling of her being in his presence again.
"Thank you," He said as they finally pulled away. "I'm glad you could make it,"
"I promised you I'd be here," she said before placing her hand on his cheek and rubbing her thumb along his beard. They spent a few moments just gazing into each other's eyes, until he removed her hand from his cheek and placed kisses on the back of it as he held it, breaking their trance. "I love the album,"
"Really, what's your favourite song?" He asked, curious to hear her answer, being that a fair few of the songs were written with her in mind.
She was quiet for a moment. Although she expected the question, there were a few songs that she could call her favourite, for reasons they would never discuss. "I'll talk to you about that later." She gently removed her hand from his as he looked into her eyes studying her intently. "For now, I've got something to ask Courtne." she gave him a wink and walked away, leaving him to just give a light chuckle as he watched her walk away...
A few hours later and the liquid courage was kicking in for many. Conversations were flowing and the DJ allowed the dancefloor to remain crowded with Drake's closest industry friends. The man of the night himself, was busy waiting for the best moment to grab the woman he wanted approval from the most.
He walked over after having spent a moment watching her as she stood on the other side of the room conversing with bella and Courtne. He put an arm around her waist as he stood behind her and gave the other two ladies a charming smile. "I'm sorry to take her away from her, but as guest of honour I'd like to have some time with her too," he said and courtne just shook her head with a smirk.
"You could've just said you wanted to speak to her, but you do you boo." She winked at them and Nicki just bit her lip, and walked with him as his hand rested on her lower back, leading her through the people and over to an isolated area of the room. He took a seat on the couch and pulled her onto his lap. She shifted more onto his right leg so she could look at him as they spoke
He reached into his pocket and took out his lighter before lighting the blunt that she didn't even realise he was holding. He took a long drag and exhaled before offering her a pull that she gladly accepted. "So what's your favourite song?" he asked as his eyes slowly dropped to her chest causing her to chuckle.
"I don't wanna talk about that right now," She said and placed her hand under his chin, forcing his eyesight back up to meet hers. "I wanna talk about Final Fantasy."
He couldn't help the small smirk that cept onto his face. "What questions do you have?"
"Who's this woman that you want to have six ways from sunday?" She asked so calmly before taking the blunt from him and helping herself to another drag.
"Just someone special I guess, someone I'm getting to the point in my life where I need to have her six ways from sunday, and more often than just the once." He paused for a moment letting his mind reel through the things he wanted to do with her as he looked into her eyes. "But she won't let me," he sighed.
