It’s nice, sometimes
To just hear the little things
A nice comment
A kind word
A little note
A smile
They can make the whole difference
In someone’s day
In your day
Just dropping by to say a word
Putting in a few thoughtful sentences
It can be just what someone needed
And when you follow those hints people leave
That trail of breadcrumbs
Saying they aren’t so happy
Those little things can make all the difference
Two seconds out of your life
To possibly save another
To make someone’s day
And afterwards
It was those two seconds you took
That make you feel so good
That make you feel worth something
Like you did something good
