It’s the wanting
The need for love
That’s what drives us all mad
Whether it be the unfailing love a mother gives her child
Or the gift from a lover
But you know what?
Love hurts
And you hurt me
What you said
It did take offense
You said those hateful words
That tone of disgust
But you didn’t even say them to my face
But you should have known
You should have known they would get back to me
I thought
Maybe…
But no
No one can love someone like me
Like that
A stupid, bossy, rotten girl I am
Why would you like me?
I stink
And now I know
That you know that
But still
Why?
Why would you say that?
Because even though I’m awful
I still have feelings too
And you just crushed them
Like a bug under your sole
But this bug doesn’t like to be squashed
So she flies away
Never to be seen again
By your selfish unloving eyes
Because there is no sense
What so ever
In that senselessness
Perhaps you will find sense in it someday
But not with me
Not one bit
Nope
Because you have shown me
Just how hard it is to find
The sense in senselessness
