Once she walks into school, Derek's scent surrounds her and takes over all that she can smell. It's weird, he never shows up at school and often tries to hide himself.
Maddy follows the track of his scent and shes lead into the boy's locker room. Sees him talking to Jackson, Derek's back to her and only Jackson's face showing.
He does sound off, unlike himself as he asks "Do you know where Maddison Martin is? Or Scott McCall?"

Jackson isn't nice, on his good days he's averag, but when he answered Derek it's full of unpleasantness "I'm not telling you where she is." bad answer.
"but I'd tell you where to find Scott if you tell me what you're selling him." and because this won't end well, she shakes her head at Jackson's action and approaches the two.
She wants things to go calmly, hence why she walks slowly towards two and therefore is too late in stopping Derek from grabbing the boy's collar.
"Derek!" Her angry voice surprises the two and shocks them enough that the other Hale lets go of Jackson, taking his claws out with him. Maddy squints her eyes to get a better look at the neck, hopes it's not too deep.
Derek shoves and begins to walk away "I'll find Scott myself." he grumbles in warner , telling her yo call him in a much quiter voice knowing she can hear him. With that he walks away.
In Maddy's opinion, Derek looks like shit and resembles her mother when she's got a cold. That is bad , considering he's a wolf and shouldn't get sick. She'll pay attention to him later, when there isn't a human bleeding.
when she does reach Jackson, he touches said neck. It's better that he doesn't touch that, she doesn't know how turning people works but a claw mark is just as dangerous as a bite in her opinion. So he shouldn't be risking it.
Her voice is soft and quite when she speaks "hey" as a passing greeting while she carefully pulls his hand away and uses the other hand to move his head to the side. It's bleeding, but not as much as she thought it would be. deciding it best to keep him distracted, she asks "What was that" not really looking for him to answer.
"Guy's got temper issues." Jackson answers, annoyed .
Standing up, she pulls him up with her and starts to walk away. Still holding onto his hand, she begins to walk and thanks god that he just cooperated.
"What are you doing?"
She turns slightly, not stopping her walking, she answers hurriedly "still have a few more minutes till school's over. I'm cleaning you up." and she hates seeing him bleed, plus if any of the hunters from Allison's family see him they might get suspicious. They're scary, Allison's dad alone scared the daylights out of Maddy every time she walks within his presence.
