If I hugged you right now,
Would you hug me right back?
As just a simple embrace
To get us back on track,
Just a reassurance
That it will all be fine,
And just a reminder
There is no peaceful mind.
It seems futile to pretend
You would return my embrace,
If I don't know for sure
If that is how it'd be played
In the sad reality in which
I write today.
