It didn't take long for us to realize
That we weren't all we thought we were,
That we are really so very alone,
And that we don't belong right here.
It seems there's no other place to go,
Nothing else we wish to learn;
I will stand with you in stillness,
Watching all of this burn
To ashes and to dust,
Just to try again and fail,
When we find something else for us to try
And somewhere else for us to sail.
