"Hey. Why are you up here so late? Shouldn't you be at home or something?" A random man's voice asked Dan softly.

Dan was startled by the sudden voice. He wondered why the stranger's voice sounded familiar but he was too sad and sleep-deprived to read into it. He was going to lie to the man but decided he was going to be dead in a few minutes anyway so why not be truthful.

"Actually I plan on uh... jumping." Dan scoffed as he spoke, not realizing until this moment what he was doing. He hadn't heard it out loud before.

Phil was taken back by the harsh words that came out of this soft boy's mouth. He was instantly worried about him even though he was here to do the same thing.

"You are? Can I ask why?" Phil reached out for the man's arm but decided against it. It would be too weird.

Dan felt defensive about this complete stranger asking him about his personal business. "Why are you even here? Where do you get off aski-" As he goes off, he takes off his hood and looked at the man. This time he was positive his heart stopped. Standing there next to him was the one and only Phil Lester. He immediately stopped yelling and instead stood like a deer in headlights.

Phil looked over to see why the boy stopped talking. It was Dan, the one he had just finished binging all the videos of. His heart was racing. "You're Dan Howell right?" He asked with his excitement, very obvious in his voice. Phil couldn't help himself knowing how embarrassing it was that he was so excited, but seeing Dan's face made his stomach flip. Suddenly all he could think about was making sure the younger boy was okay.

Dan thought he was going to actually scream from what was happening. "I- yeah I'm Dan. I'm so sorry I yelled at you. If I had known it was you I would have never..." Dan was fixing his hobbit hair from wearing a hoodie. "I can't believe you're actually in front of me... " Dan half whispered to himself, hoping Phil didn't hear. "Why are you here?"

Phil instantly got nervous. Should I really be telling him why I'm here...? He might as well, Dan had been forward with him. "Actually... The same reason as you." He said, not being able to hide the pain in his voice. He looking down at his feet. He couldn't look at Dan's face. It was hard, to tell the truth, but Dan deserved at least that much from him. "I had planned on jumping..."

Dan couldn't stop studying the boy's soft face, hearing the pain in his voice. He wished he could just hold him and tell him not to, but they just met, even though Dan felt like he's known him for so long. "You really shouldn't do that, but I couldn't help but notice how sad you seemed in your videos. Can I... Can I ask why?" He asked as soft as possible, taking a small step towards Phil, careful not to lose his footing.

Phil couldn't help but laugh a bit. "Weren't you just about to jump too? You're gonna ask why I'm doing it?" Phil heard the harshness in his voice and bit his lip looking up at Dan. "Sorry... I mean... I have always planned on doing it I guess... When I ran out of video ideas when I had nothing else to offer the world. That happened today when I realized I had no more ideas. You watch my videos?" he asked, surprised. How is Dan making me tell him this?  I JUST met him. He hasn't told anyone this, not even his mum. But he felt like he could trust Dan with this. "What about you?"

Dan giggled a little at the remark. "Yeah you're right, but you're so spectacular it's hard to believe that you would do this..." Dan blushed as he let that slip out. STOP TALKING! the voices yelled. "Pretty much that same as you honestly... I don't have anything else to offer to YouTube or the rest of the world." Dan couldn't believe he was pouring out this much to Phil, I guess it's because he's kind of grown up with him. "And yeah, of course, I watch your videos. To be honest, I've watched them ever since you started in 2009..." Dan hoped that didn't sound weird.
