I should go. I owe it to myself. I should see how things go with Pete. He's different, he's not like Jake. He's... Jake. Oh Jake. I would be crushed if he knew about this. Do I want to hurt him? Do I see a future with him? Should I miss out on this whole opportunity to maybe fall in love and see where this goes because I feel bad for him? No I'm not thinking about him, I'm going. Get ready and get your ass in the car Kali.
I quickly put on my tan boots & my white jumpsuit and walked out the door.
Jake was out at his mates place having drinks and I thanked god for that.
It would be really hard to sneak past him if he were here.
I drove in to the pub, 10:56.
This is it.
I walked into the pub and looked around.
Did he not come? Oh my god. He's not here.
I took one more glance around the room & still couldn't see him.
As I went to turn around, I heard a voice.
"Hey girl!"
Please don't tell me.
"Kali, come over here." I turned and looked at her.
"Chloe! What are you doing here?"
"Pete wanted to come in for a few hours so I thought I'd join him."
"Oh nice. Jake is at a mates place, so I thought I'd come out."
"By yourself?"
"Um... well yeah... I um... I remember Pete telling Jake you two would be here tonight, so instead of staying home on a Friday night, I remember and came out."
"Oh good! I'm so glad you're here. I'll introduce you to some of the girls."
Oh great, just what I wanna do, meet the friends of the girl who's boyfriend I'm here to have a fling with, who also happens to be my current boyfriends cousin. Haha funny how these things work out.
After meeting her three friends she had there, Brittany, Tess & Lisa, I sat with them & had a few drinks.
"What time is it?" Brittany asked, and Lisa checked her phone.
"11 on the dot."
Right as she said that, guess who walked in. Seriously, have a guess! Starts with P, ends in ete, oh my god it must be...
"Pete! Baby come over." Chloe waved him over and I stiffened up.
Here we go.
"Hi baby." He laughed, kissing her right in front of me.
Low blow man, low blow.
This feels wrong. This was a mistake coming here.
"I'm gonna head home." I said, grabbing my wallet and phone off the table.
"Kali?" Pete asked, looking at me wide-eyed.
I gave him a quick smile and walked outside after saying goodbye to everyone.
I got to my car and a tear slid down my face.
What an idiot I am. I looked so stupid.
I drove down the side street of the pub and a body ran in front of my car.
I slammed the brakes and pulled into a parking spot.
"Pete. What the hell?"
"Sorry. I just, I didn't think you were coming."
"Yeah neither did I."
"Why don't you stay for a bit?"
"I'm gonna head home. I think this was a mistake Pete."
"It wasn't a mistake Kali. You wouldn't be here if it was."
I sighed and rubbed my forehead, looking down at the phone ringing in my hand.
Jake.
I looked up at Pete and he groaned.
"You better get that."
I sighed and answered the phone call.
"Hey babe."
"Hey, you at the pub?"
"Yeah, you coming in for a bit?"
"Yeah, me and the boys are coming now."
"Okay cool, I'll see you soon."
I hung up and looked at Pete.
"Jakes coming in."
"I heard."
"So I guess I'm coming back in." I laughed and he didn't look as happy about it as I thought.
"Unless you don't want me to? Because otherwise I can go home."
"No, I want you there. I don't want Jake here."
"So were you happy I came today?"
"Didn't think you would if I'm honest. But yeah, i am."
I smiled and got out of my car.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and his hands went to my ass.
I pressed my lips on his and he slid his tongue in.
I moaned, smiling as he pushed his body against mine more.
I pushed him off and he sighed.
"We better go in before Chloe comes out looking for me."
I nodded and followed him in.
I sat back down where the others were and waited for Jake and his mates to arrive.
Once they did, he sat beside me & I smiled.
"Hi babe." He mumbled, pressing his lips on mine.
"Mm hi hun." I moaned, grabbing his cheeks.
"You look good." He whispered, looking me over again.
"Thank you."
I connected our lips and smiled.
He pulled away from me and went to get drinks for us.
He was at the bar talking to Pete and I watched them.
They looked pretty similar. Same height, same hair, almost the same build but Pete was a little bigger.
