The next day Michael couldn't get the redhead out of his head. It kept bugging him that she had known his name while he had no idea who she was. During his first four classes all could think about was the pretty girl who was friends, maybe more, with Ashton Irwin.

It wasn't until his fifth class, which happened to be art, did Michael find out how Jade knew him.

It was halfway through the period and they were all working on an abstract self portrait when someone walked into the room.

"Dude," Calum nudged Michael. "It's Taco Bell girl."

Michael's head snapped up at the mention of her and he looked up to see the back of a girl talking to the teacher, then walking to the empty desk in the corner of the room.

She looked different today. Gone was the boring uniform, replaced with tight fitted black pants that hugged her skin and a black jacket that revealed just a little bit of her maroon top.

How the hell had Michael not noticed her before?

How long had she been sitting in the same class as him without him noticing?

"What is she doing here?" Michael asked Calum.

"I don't know, man," Calum shook his head and returned to work. "Haven't seen her in here before."

Despite how strange this was, Michael was glad about the whole situation. If she went to the same school as him, he could still get her number and win the dare. Luke and Calum hadn't given him a time limit, so it was fair game.

After a while Michael nudged Calum and said, "You're gonna wish you had given me a different girl."

After class was over, Michael waited outside the door for Jade to leave so he could talk to her.

Apparently, she wasn't one to go running out of the class the second the bell rang. She took her sweet time getting her things and strutting out like she owned the place.

And she didn't even glance at Michael as she walked past him.

Rude.

"Hey, wait!" Michael called, going after her. "Jade!"

She didn't stop and just kept walking. Maybe she didn't hear him in the crowded hallway. Michael grabbed her elbow and she jerked away.

"Don't ever fucking touch me," she spat at him and continued walking.

Michael raised his hands in surrender and followed her. "You're the Taco Bell girl from last night," he said.

Jade let out a bitter laugh. "You know what you should've said last night? You should've said, 'You're Jade from school.' That would've been better for us both. Now leave me alone."

Michael ignore her last comment and focused on something else. "Why would that have been better?"

Jade stopped outside a science classroom and crossed her arms across her chest, facing Michael. Her eyes were bright green, with a few flecks of gold. She was so pretty.

"I don't have time to be wasting on you, Michael Clifford. Unlike you, I actually care about somethings other than myself. So if you'll excuse me," she pushed past Michael and into the almost full class.

Michael didn't understand why she was so bitter towards him. Last night, when Ashton had showed up, she had seemed almost calm. Why was she so pissy with him? What had he done wrong?

Michael made his way to the cafeteria, sitting down in an empty chair next to Luke, who was busy chatting to his girlfriend, Bryn.

"Hey, Mike," Bryn smiled when she saw Michael. "What's up?"
