"For the love of Islam"

I love it to bits<3<3<3

Surah At-Tahrim, Verse 8:

O you who believe! turn to Allah a sincere turning; maybe your Lord will remove from you your evil and cause you to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, on the day on which Allah will not abase the Prophet and those who believe with him; their light shall run on before them and on their right hands; they shall say: Our Lord! make perfect for us our light, and grant us protection, surely Thou hast power over all things.

Mahra was sleeping on Fatimas bed, snoring soundly. I sat with Fatima on the hot pink settee in her room. She had just recited the 8th verse of surah At-Tahrim along with the translation. She had her gaze locked onto my face, trying to read my thoughts.

"Well, doesn't this surah stir your heart?"

"It sure does."I replied trying to blink away my tears. That's what the Quran does to your heart ,it melts away all hardness in you.Plus Fatima's excellent Arabic dialect adds to the charm.

"Sara I don't want you to tell me what you did.I am just interested in knowing how eager you are to change yourself.Allah always forgives ,you just have to have sincere intentions."

"I want to change Fatima, but its not easy OK?"

"I know its not but just calm down and hear me out OK?Start with regulating your prayers. We will move onto other things later.Plus you must discontinue any un-Islamic actions."

She wants me to discontinue my bad things.Sure man easy peasy!!Then why the hell doesn't it feel so easy. She had never done anything wrong herself how would she know how it feels to hate yourself. She caught me glaring at her.

"I know you think I don't know how it feels but I do know that its very unpleasant. Changes are very hard to accept and don't expect for yourself to improve over-night.For you will not.Be patient Sars I want you to know that you are not alone.I am with you and In shaa Allah,Allah will guide us.Put your trust in him and let go of your worries."

"Can you recite another 'Forgiveness' related ayat for me?The calm me down I feel like there's still hope."

"Ofcourse, how about the 16th verse of surah Aal-e-Imran and a few others?"

I nodded my yes and closed my eyes as Fatima's beautiful recitation filled the air.

Surah Aal-e-Imran, Verse 16:

Those who say: Our Lord! surely we believe, therefore forgive us our faults and save us from the chastisement of the fire.

Surah Al-Mumenoon, Verse 118:

And say: O my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones.

Surah Al-Mumtahina, Verse 4:

Indeed, there is for you a good example in Ibrahim and those with him when they said to their people: Surely we are clear of you and of what you serve besides Allah; we declare ourselves to be clear of you, and enmity and hatred have appeared between us and you forever until you believe in Allah alone-- but not in what Ibrahim said to his father: I would certainly ask forgiveness for you, and I do not control for you aught from Allah-- Our Lord! on Thee do we rely, and to Thee do we turn, and to Thee is the eventual coming:
