White Moon Light 白月光

    ~Xiao Bai's POV~
  While I was reading a rare book of medical herbs from the Imperial library that Hong Lei got for me to occupy my time and to make me happy.
"Yun Imperial Physician, my lady wanted to invite you over for tea." Said the head palace maid for Consort Wan. It's been so long since I forgot the girl who reminded me of her.
I said yes and went along. While I went in, I was immediately offered a cup of tea as I was lead by the maid to Consort Wan whom was painting.
  "Crack!" I dropped my china cup.
  "Plunk!" And she was so surprised by me that she dropped her brush, the black ink splattered on the painting of a beautiful woman.
   It was a very familiar face.
It was the face of my decreased wife.
  "Who…who…is this…?" I asked with a shaking voice and my hands trembling.
"The painting…?" She asked hesitantly, and I nodded yes.
"Have you seen her?! Have you seen my missing elder sister?!" She asked with surprise and happiness in her eyes as she immediately grabbed my arms.
  No wonder they looked so much alike…
"Yes…" I said hesitantly.
"Do you know where she is now?!"
  "I do…She's my…decreased wife." I replied as I saw the euphoria from her eyes turn into sadness.
  I hugged the crying girl as she asked "Was she happy? How did she pass…?"
I nodded yes, and them replied "She was as happy as a bird, she felt free and that she died from an illness." The sadness from the crying girl immediately turned to fury as she began hitting me furiously with all her might with those tiny and delicate fists shouting and yelling at me why I couldn't save her.
She asked me, but who can I ask?
The celestial immortal above us?
The Buddha?

Hi it's been so long, and I'm back!
I know how I will end this story but I just don't know how to get there.
Sometimes I wonder if I should just write the ending and publish that first, what do you guys think?
*The term white moon light or Bai Yue Guang is a famous term coined from a novel, where it describes the two woman in a man's life. The one who he spends the rest of his life with and of course the one that got away or first love. There are several terms for the two ladies as the one for his first love is called white moon light or white rose, a love pure and clean which will always be the most beautiful existence in the man's heart. And for his wife, zhu sha zhi 朱砂痣 ，a red mole. where in the novel it describes the first love as the white moon light that shines past the head board of the bed and the latter being the blood of a mosquito fallen on the heart looking like a red mole. There are usual traits of a white moon light beautiful, perfect, but usually dies young leaving the man to remember only the good and beautiful memories. An example would be in Inuyasha , Kikyo would be the white moon light and kagome the red mole. And usually every women after the death of the white moon light would be judged by such standard, and every women after would be in her shadow.

Or like in the first book, the male concubine, xiao qing in the chapter the unknown past would be the white moon light and Bing Bing would be the later if people still need a well known example.
