Give Me A Year

~Yun Xu's POV~
   I woke up against a warm, and hard surface…As my finger brushed against it.
    "Hmmm...." A deep voice moaned, as I immediately jerked away from it, but a strong arm pulled me back and caged me in.
     "Yun Xu...Let me sleep more..." I heard Hong Lei say as his chest rumbled at the noise.
   "Did we...?" I immediately asked.
    "I would never take advantage of a drink or someone in their vulnerable state, remember my goal is to have you fall in love with me not bed you. And that way you have no excuses. Plus you are still clothed aren't you?" As my hands went crazy rubbing everywhere to reassure myself I was still clothed and then I sighed in relief.
     We then both left the bed with him attached to me as if he were an extra limb, he sat me down and then ordered a servant he had called to prepare breakfast in the meantime while he brushed my hair.
   "Is that why you refuse to love me?" He asked in the perfect moment as I was caged by his arms, inescapable.
     I turned my head, our noses almost touching and I asked "Why do you love me?"
   He tilted his head and closed his eyes, then furrowed his brows in deep thought "Maybe… because you are you and I am me." He finally decided and I scoffed in return.
     "So what's your plan?To cage me forever? You can't force love." I asked.
    "No…I wouldn't force that upon you…Or anyone. But all I ask for is opportunity to make you fall in love for me. One year…Please just one year…And if you don't…I will let you leave and never bother you anyways." He said seriously.
     "And let's just if I did, then what? You stick me in your harem and decorate me with useless shiny babbles?"
     "I want you…To be my empress." Well…lets' just say if I was drinking something it wasn't going to go to my stomach.
       "Wouldn't that cause a riot? What would your subjects say? You were bewitched by a fox demon, and a male at that?"
    "I only need the approval of those that matter to me. Imperial Father, Mother Consort, and Han Ling." He said casually, continuing brushing as if he didn't just confess to me that he didn't care what his officials thinks as I sighed.
    "Fine. One year…Nothing More, nothing less…Its such a short time." I compromised as we both went to sit down and eat breakfast.
    He first stopped my chopsticks when I went to grab something and tasted every single dish…
    "Be careful their might be poison…"
    "I know. That's why I'm tasting it for you." He replied casually and then grabbed the juiciest and biggest piece meat from the dish I initially wanted and piled onto my bowl, and after I took a bite he repeated, neglecting himself.
   "Stop. I'm full." I said placing my hand before his incoming chopsticks.
     He then clapped and the maids took the food away.
   "But you didn't…?!"
    "I feel full looking at you eat. You are far too thin." He said with a tsk.
   "What do you expect? I am not a great martial arts general so I am not muscular and buff, nor am I a woman so I have no curves." I looked away slightly annoyed, crossing my arms before he snaked his arms around my waist.
    "No I didn't mean like that. I'm just worried about your health and I want more of you to love…" His chin propped against my shoulder.

  One year, huh…It should be easy…
    Right?
