ISABELLE KESSLER is a detective along with her cousin Nick Burkhardt and their best friend Hank Griffin. And everything is normal until her mother reappears after years of not seeing her. She admits to her and Nick the truth about their family — the Grimms.
At first Isabelle doesn't want to believe it, but she quickly finds out the truth is hard to deny when it's thrown in your face. Upon learning the truth about her family and herself she meets Monroe, a blutbad. And even though her ancestor used to behead people like him Isabelle immediately finds herself drawn to the man.
Love has been something all too rare in the Kessler girl's life, and she has definitely never met anyone quite like Monroe. But maybe that's a good thing.
