Jesse's POV.

Daizy stared at me with confusion, and, frankly, I couldn't blame her. This was way too much even for me, let along a girl who had no idea about what the hell was happenning. But I couldn't let her ruin it, not after everything I've been through.
- Daizy, listen here. - I said, my voice stern. It almost sounded like a demand or an order. - When you see me again - in reality, not in the mirror - you have to act like none of this ever happened. This is important! Hide this mirror somewhere where I won't find it. You understand?

She nodded silently, biting her lower lip.
- But, Jesse... - She frowned. - I-I-I don't get it. What will happen if the real you sees this mirror?
It was a good question. I wished I had been able to answer it. One thing for sure - whatever would happen, it wouldn't end well for me. Romeo could simply break the mirror and then... I didn't want to know what would happen to me in that case.

- I'll die. - I answered honestly. Daizy gasped and backed away, the image of her shaking, probably because the girl was way too nervous to hold the mirror still in her hand. I prayed silently for her not to break it.
- But...- She stammered. - I don't... How?
All of a sudden I felt some unknown energy filling the room I was in. It sent shivers down my spine, making my mind repeat one thought over and over again.
Romeo. Romeo. Romeoromeoromeoromeo...

- We have no time! - I shouted urgently. - Please, Daizy! I swear I'll explain everything later, just please!
The girl nodded, looking around the room. Her eyes widened as if she saw something interesting - and I could only hope it wasn't the Admin. Then she carried the mirror to the wall and knelt down. It was funny to look at - everything on the "screen" seemed too big for me, but then again. I was now so small I could fit into a small mirror.

Suddenly something dirty gray filled the whole screen. It looked like a concrete or something like that.
- Daizy? - I called, worried. - What's happenning?
- It's okay. - Her voice sounded from another direction, as if she was standing at my right. - I... I've placed it in some crack in the wall... Should work.
I wanted to thank her, but was interrupted by the sound of the door opening.

  - Hey, Jesse! - I couldn't see Daizy but she sounded cheerful... Too cheerful, actually. - I, uh... I like it here!
- Oh, I'm glad. - Romeo's voice echoed through the room, making me flinch in pain. Gosh, he was so loud! - I've brought you some furniture and a bed so...
He suddenly stopped, and I literally felt the tension building up.

He noticed I was gone.

I clenched my eyes shut, stepping back a little bit. It would only take a wrong gesture, a sound, a glance - and I'm doomed. The girl seemed to realise that as well, for I heard her laughing nervously and taking a small step.
- Is something wrong? - She asked, trying not to cause any suspicions. It would be easier if her voice wasn't shaking because of fear.

- What? - Romeo's voice became darker, now it didn't sound so like mine. - No... Nothing.
I could hear him walking around the room. When the sound of his steps was at its loudest, I stopped breathing. Daizy sounded to be frozen and paralised in shock as well, due to only hearing her gasps.

- Hey, friend. - The imposter walked away from the place I was hidden, so I could finally exhale. - Have you... Heard or seen anything odd?
- O-odd? - Daizy's voice showed her fear. - N-no, I mean, I don't think so. Wh-why?
I wanted to slap my forehead, but was too scared that Romeo could hear. This girl knew nothing about lying, did  she?

- This castle... - The Admin chuckled wickedly. - It has a weird power. Sometimes people think they see, hear or feel something that doesn't exist. It's called a hallucination, dearie, and they are dangerous.
I couldn't help but gasp. Was Romeo making Daizy think she was crazy? Did he want her not to believe me? So, did he know or was he just acting this way because "better safe than sorry and all that"? I prayed for it to be the second one.
