Shiori's pov

"Shiori! Get up!" I heard a cry.

Opening my eyes groggily, I saw Leiko shaking me awake, "What is it?"

"Someone's coming. A team of three," she informed.

My eyes widened, "Is Asher up?"

"Yes, he's up."

"Okay, what else do you know?" I asked quickly.

"Weak chakra but well masked. They have good control," I nodded.

Grabbing by katana, my eyes whirled to life.

"Morning," I waved to Asher who was already equipped and ready.

"Hey," he greeted half-heartedly.

"Already told you not to worry about the scroll," Leiko said.

"Guys, hide!" I hissed as the trio came closer.

As the group of genin got closer I identified them as another team of Taki nin. The tallest boy leant over to whisper something into the girl's ear. The vertically challenged girl grinned shrewdly in response and replied to him without bothering to cover her mouth.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of the Leaf nin."

Uhoh. She found us. Leiko nodded at both of us as we leapt down from the trees.

"Oh ho. So you decide to show yourselves," a scrawny boy smirks.

"You sensed us anyways," Leiko shrugged.

"Indeed," the girl said.

I grinned and spun a kunai on my finger, "Let's get started then."

"With pleasure," she replied.

Asher and Leiko separated off to fight the other two genin whilst the girl I was fighting completely disappeared.

What?

My Sharingan snapped open once again as I tried to find her...nothi-holy shit what is this?! I panicked for a second when I found I had been robbed of all movements as a tree sprouted from the ground and coiled itself around me. The girl appeared in front of me again smirking, "Ready to give your scroll yet?"

I took a few deep breaths and calmed down, looking around. This wasn't right. No. My Sharingan easily saw through the familiar genjutsu that I'd seen before. Kakashi-sensei had invited Kurenai-sensei over to teach us the basics of genjutsu and she'd shown us the same technique.

"Tree Binding Death...that's a technique from the Leaf. I wonder how you got your hands on it?" I wondered out loud.

I heard her smirk, "This is nothing, genjutsu is my specialty. Now hand over your scroll," she demanded.

"Specialise? I see..." I glanced at her disinterestedly.

Then, the scenery changed, it was no longer me being held down by the tree but the girl who had cast the jutsu on me. She openly gaped before she started to struggle, "How? What is this? You overcame my genjutsu and used it against me? Impossible?"

"Haven't done your homework?" I taunted, "This genjutsu is especially useful for you people who rely on nothing but illusions. It turns your own jutsu on you."

The hilt of my blade connected with her head, knocking her our cold.

Digging around her pack I found two scrolls, both Heaven. Taking both of them I looked over at Leiko and Asher who had almost finished dealing with their opponents. Asher seemed to be having a bit of trouble so I intervened.
