Post Chapter News V.2

Dear Readers & Fans of Maddy Banks, Eve Gardner and Sierra D’Asanti in the philosophical rom-com The Funeral Planner

Mother’s Day is fast approaching!  Here’s what our trio of event planners in dark clothes has to say about it and what they recommend in honoring our mothers on Mother’s Day with a 10% Promo Code FUNERALPLANNER at www.1800Flowers.com

Eve Gardner: Okay, I just want to say that 1800Flowers.com rules. Why?  Because first of all, they are global, which means you can order them from anywhere in the world! Second, they have this awesome basket I order every year to bless my mother with the memory of… me. Okay, torture might be a better word.  See, it works like this.  I order the Cherry Blossom Spa Scented Gift Basket for her on Mother’s Day. She gets a thrill out of the fact that I even remembered, and she loves the way it smells. Who doesn’t love the scent of cherry blossoms? And when it’s associated with me, well, that’s even better. Plus, all those blessed spa goodies inside the basket lasts a year… which happens to coincide with my visits throughout the year… at which point, I get to partake in the use of all those delicious lotions and potions… so everyone’s happy.  It’s a win-win!  So, in conclusion, my personal choice, as in Eve’s Choice… is the Cherry Blossom Spa Scented Gift Basket with the 10% off promo code of FUNERALPLANNER http://ww11.1800flowers.com/product.do?baseCode=93785&cm_cid=fagf

Sierra D’Asanti: I share the gift of earthly scents with my mother every Mother’s Day. It’s a tradition. She knows they’re coming. I know she knows they’re coming. It’s a joyful ritual now for flowers are a reminder that all things in life are ethereal. But the annual ritual itself of honoring my mother with a gift to remember that all things are ethereal is as concrete as the love and respect we share for one another.  My personal favorite is the Exotic Breeze Orchids at http://ww11.1800flowers.com/product.do?baseCode=105906&dataset=10373&cm_cid=d10373 with 10% off using FUNERALPLANNER.

Maddy Banks:  Okay, so I’m a funeral planner. I didn’t wake up one morning and say, “Gee, I think I want to be a funeral planner.”  It just sort of fell into my lap when my bestfriend Tara Pintock died (see Chapter 1).  She deserved better… including lots of sunflowers because she had a thing for them.  And that’s how Lights Out Enterprises was born.  So now helping define a life when it’s end has come, has become the definition of my own life.  They (whoever they are) say that our gifts heal our wounds.  And it truly is a gift to heal the hearts of the living, because the byproduct of healing the hearts of others is that in the process, I heal my own. However, that doesn’t mean I’m good at death, even the death that eventually occurs when a flower reaches the end of its short life.  Too short!  I’m all for the ritual of flower gift-giving but I like things to last.  Face it, it’s a better value deal.  And I still struggle with grief so my personal recommendation for Mother’s Day is the uh, perennial type of flower, as in the ones that never die.  So for those of us who are letting-go-challenged I recommend the Waterford Glass Rose because you can have it a vase forever.
