"SEVEN MILLION." Xander said before blowing me a kiss which almost made me fainted. Damn, freaking Montreal!!

The room fell silent. Nabasag lamang iyon ng malakas na tumawa ang matanda.

 

"Are you nuts? Seven million just for a dance and a dinner?" tanong nito kay Xander. Tiningnan siya ng halimaw and laughed.

"Oo nga noh. Seven million is too large." Sabi pa niya at nakipag fist bump sa matanda. I gritted my teeth. Ano ito, lokohan?!

 

"Montreal humanda ka--" I hissed. Xander ignored me and sat on the top of a dinner table before he raised his number.

"Fifteen million. Ano, may aangal pa?" he said. Mas lalong nanlaki ang mata ko. The people everywhere were dumbfounded. Maging ang mga magulang namin ay nanahimik na lang. The first sound that erupted is the sound of Andrei's laughter.

"You rock bro!" then he raised his wine glass. Xander raised his glass too bago nagbow sa lahat ng tao sa paligid.

He turned to the old man then smiled. " Sorry. Mas mayaman ako sa inyo, Mr. Gonzualo. And it is not just about a simple dinner and a dance. It is about my wife." He smugly said bago nilampasan ang matanda at kinuha ako sa stage.

"For my prize." He said and gave me his hand. Tinulak na ako ni Ericka and he held me closely.

 

 

"Xander, what the hell was that?! Anong fifteen million ang pinagsasabi mo--" I hissed at him pero ngumiti siya.

 

 

"Kulang pa ba? Gusto mong dagdagan ko?" painosente niya pang tanong. I rolled my eyes at him.

 

"Hindi iyon ang ibig kong sabihin!" inis ko ng bulong sa kanya. He grinned, an all boy grin kaya nagdrum roll na naman ang puso ko.

 

"Ang ganda mo talaga kapag naiinis ka na." he pinched my cheeks and let me into the room assigned for our 'dinner date'. I sighed. Oo mayaman siya. alam ko naman yun eh. He is a Montreal. They have billions at their disposal, pero ang gumastos ng seven--no scratch that, ang gumastos ng fifteen million?! That is absurd!

He opened the door for me. I scanned the room. May isang waiter doon at isang violinist. Xander pulled a chair for me at umupo ako. Akala ko uupo na rin siya when he pulled his wallet and give the waiter and the violinist money.
