Part 18: History Repeats Itself

"Me?" I breathed out. If it wasn't for the air that went out of my system, it would be a more silent statement.

"Yes," BoA's manager said, having uncertainty as his main concern for that night. "You."

He was not happy about it, neither was I. I was nervous, and the rest in the room were delighted with the idea. Too delighted that they forgot that maybe it was not a good idea. They were thinking otherwise.

"You're going on stage, Sara!" screamed the duo, Eunhyuk and Donghae. They raised their fists up in the air, followed by the cheers of others, including the assistants.

"That is, if Miss Sara will abide," BoA's manager was giving us a smile after the small cheering fit the boys threw. If he was not smiling, everyone would've noticed that he was somewhat scared. It was written all over his face, yet was painted by excitement.

The staffs said it was fine for it was a very special request. I had a bad feeling about this offer. Yes, it was a special request, but did the company know? I was left silent. I didn't know how to respond to this.

"We don't have much time!" Someone screamed in front of my still-bewildered face. It was then I noticed that the staffs and the manager was nearing the door.

"Does the company know?" I heard Junghoon ask, but the other manager's reply was a whisper and I could only make out blabbers.

"We need to get her ready!" Colette exclaimed as she pushed me up to my feet. "After AOA's performance, it will be her turn!"

Everyone was hyped. Everyone was excited for me, yet I didn't know what to do. I was still glued to the couch and still doubting what might happen.

It was an offer I found hard to refuse. It was like an opportunity in a lifetime. If I won't take it, what will happen?

They pushed me down on the chair of the dressing table. They fixed my long, black hair by making it wavy. They put make-up on my face, putting eyeliner and a nude eyeshadow.

"I have her costume here!" A unfamiliar voice came. It was one of BoA's assistants. "Miss BoA got them for her."

Adding a small amount of blush-on, they massaged my temples. Was that part of the whole make-up thing? I didn't have time to ponder on that. I need to focus on a more important thing, a more important event. "We need you to calm down, Miss Sara."

"Thank you, Colette," I breathed out again. She was trying everrything in her might to calm me down. If my thoughts were just a bit befuddled, my body was acting the opposite. I was close to shaking fervently.

"You can do it." Leeteuk encouraged me by giving me a pat. He sent me a smile through our reflection. I nodded at him in response. The costume designers made me stand up and get me into a dressing room. "Would you like us to-"

"No," I replied fastly. The first time I had a good reaction time since the unexpected turnout of events. "I'd like to change my own."

BoA picked my costume, they said. How fast did she process to make this arrangements? The costume was composed of a hanging, white shirt that has a peace symbol, an exact copy of BoA's brown one in the music video. The bottom was a pair of black leggings that were usually used for dancing.

When I came out, everyone rushed up to me. I felt something wrapped around my waist, and it was a silver-colored chain belt. One added more volume to my hair.

"Miss Sara is out in three!" They became more frantic. It would usually take 20 minutes or more to fix an artist but I got no time, the stylists got no time to waste.
