Chapter 13:

Leila's POV

Ang bilis nang tibok ng puso ko... nang halikan niya ako, I know... it's not the first time he kissed me. That's not the first time Jed had kissed me... but it's as if it was the first time. His lips that touches mine, I can say that it was true. That it was real. It's the most magical moment I had ever experience, and I'll never forget about it.

Lalong lumundag ang puso ko nang sabihin niyang mahal niya ako... at totoo 'yon. I believe in him, not just because he is my husband but because I love him and I can feel it.

Simula noong gabing 'yon, things had change. Everything has changed between the two of us. Kung noon, parang wala siyang pakielam sa akin. Ngayon? He's much caring. We spend so much time together, we do fun stuffs together, and I can say we're happily living in the same roof.

It's almost-like a dream for me. Isang pangarap na akala ko mananatili na lang na pangarap. Yung kahit latak na pagmamahal pilit ko pang hinihingi sa kanya noon... I've had received so much love right now. Pakiramdam ko nga, umaapaw na ako sa sobra-sobrang kaligayahan.

Today's September 27. It's Sunday and it's my 20th birthday. Yes, it's been a year since we have decided to fix our marriage. We face different kinds of challenges and we're happily facing obstacles together.

"Happy birthday babe." Jed whispers to my ears. Then he kisses me on my cheeks.

I look at him as I smile. We're lying on his bed. It's Sunday morning and I am already filled with love. What more do I have to wish for my birthday? God had already gaves me a wonderful gift. And I thank Him for giving me and Jed a second chance.

"Good morning." He greeted me as he kisses my forehead.

Niyakap ko pa siya ng mas mahigpit. I buried my face on his chest. Ganito na ang naging set-up namin for a year. We sleep together, eat together, and do things together. We really are, like a married couple enjoying life together.

Few more minutes that we stayed lying on bed. Parang pareho na kaming ayaw bumangon.

"Anong gusto mong gawin natin ngayong birthday mo?" he asks me.

Nakahiga parin kami at magkayakap. I'm feeling relax and comfortable lying beside him.

"Kahit ano..." I look at him again. "basta kasama kita masaya na ako." Then I smiled at him.

We decided to go outside by evening to eat dinner. Nagtataka nga ako kay Jed kasi pinagsuot niya pa ako ng formal dress. Sabi niya sa isang class A restaurant kami kakain. We have to wear formal dresses. I just wear off white na chiffon. I updo my hair. Hindi ako marunong maglagay ng make up kaya lipstick lang ang nailagay ko.

I was walking down stairs. Nasa baba si Jed waiting for me. My eyes were pinned on him. I smile as he smiles at me. Nang makababa na ako, he drags me closer to him. He grins at me and it made me blush.

He kiss me.

"I love you..." he said between our kisses. "Ang ganda talaga ng asawa ko..."

I smiled at him. Hinampas ko nang bahagya ang balikat niya. "Bolero!" I giggle. I glimpse a peck of kiss. "I love you too." Kumalas na ako sa pagkakayakap niya at hinawakan ang kamay niya. "Let's go?" pagaya ko sa kanya.

Hindi sinabi sa akin ni Jed kung saan ba talaga kami pupunta. Whenever I ask him, he only answers with a smile. So I let him be until makarating kami sa isang malaking gate na nababalutan nang mga gumagapang na halaman.
