"My father was very possessive. Once he proclaimed something was his, no one could take it from him. He called my mother his and would blame me for taking her away from him," I took a sip of water to clear my voice.
"You were a baby. That's not right," Aria added.
"My mom believed that too. When she stood up to him for always blaming me for things, he hit her. The worst part is, he got away with it. Actually, I'm not sure if you guys noticed this before, but I have this burn on my right arm."

"Don't tell me he-" Aria got cut off

"Don't tell me he-" Aria got cut off.
"Yeah. He burned me when I was about two or three years old."
"Th-that's horrible," Yuri said.
"Anyway, it's a half day and we get out in about 10 or so minutes so I think we have plenty of time. He used to do that stuff a lot when I was younger and still lived with him. Then, Onette was born. Honestly, even being the tiny little six year old I was, I thought he was going to kill her so I always protected her even though in the long run that only gave me more bruises. As long as Onette was safe, I was ok too."
"When was your mom finally able to get rid of him?" Citri asked.
"Actually I was just getting to that. Onette was five and ready to go to kindergarten. My mom was worried about her going to school with bruises. She tried to do this when it was time for me to go to school as well but Onette was just born. When my father was out at the bar one night, she called the police and had him arrested for abuse. We were finally free. He was sentenced to prison for about 10 years. He's still in prison and we're still safe. When he gets out, we don't know what will happen."
"Do you think would try to track your family down?" Osaka said.
"Possibly."
