Kabanata XX: Chrome and hearts

I tried to breathe normally even though I can feel their tension. Simula ng dumating kami dito ay wala na silang ginawa kundi ang magtitigan lang. Para akong naiipit sa dalawang nag-uumpugang bato pag nagkagulo dito.

Tumikhim ako, "Ahhm so shall we go S-Sir Ken and Sir C-Chrome?" I tried not to stutter but everyone is looking at us weirdly and its kinda creepy. Hawak ni Ken ang isa kong kamay habang si Chrome naman ay mariin ding nakatingin samin.

This is just too much!

Kapwa nila ko tiningnan ng masama. "SIR?"/"SIR?" sabay na sigaw nila. Oh my god nakakahiya natigilan tuloy yung mga tao sa paligid. Ano ba gusto nilang itawag ko sakanila? They are my boss and a secretary should call his bosses accordingly.

Ken rolled his eyes and eyed me suspiciously. While Chrome did the same chinky eyes stare at me. Ano bang gagawin ko sakanila?

I surrendered, "Okay okay, Ken and Chrome na kung yun ang gusto niyo."

Then suddenly I heard a thud. Pare-pareho kaming nalingon sa pinanggalingan nito. I saw an awkward looking lady wearing a long skirt and an oversized blouse. Kaagad tumaas ang kilay ko. Sa sobrang haba ng palda niya ay halos sumayad na ito sa lupa. Saang kulto siya galing? I asked myself.

Hindi siya magkamayaw sa isang tambak ng papeles na dala-dala nito. I heard the two men beside me say something but I'm engrossed with this woman. She's wearing thick eye glasses and I must say her fashion is off the mark.

"Do you know her?" I asked them while keeping my eyes on her.

"She's my secretary, just don't mind her." Bored na sagot ni Chrome. He's now facing the opposite side. I heard Ken let out a loud laugh. "Pare hindi ko alam ganyan na ang type mo ngayon?" then Chrome glared at him.

Uh-oh you're humor is offbeat Ken.

Hinapit ako bigla ni Chrome palapit sakanya, causing me to bludgeon on his chest. "What if I tell you this girl is my type? Ano masasabi mo?" biglang nagdilim ang aura ni Ken at nawala yung ngising aso niya. Tsk lakas kasing mang-asar pikon din naman.

"She's off limits Villamayor. GIRLFRIEND ko na yang hinahagkan mo." binawi niya ko kay Chrome. Dahil hindi ko na nagugustuhan ang tinatakbo ng usapan nila ay pumalatak na ko at pinaghiwalay sila.

"Ano ba? May balak ba kayong gawin akong bola na pagpapasahan? Masakit ha!" hinimas ko na ang palapulsuhan kong kanina pa nila hinihigit. Medyo namumula na ito dahil sa higpit ng hawak nila. Bumaling ako kay Chrome, "If you may Mr. Engineer we're behind schedule so let's proceed." Then I turned to Ken, "And you Mr. Jealous man stop acting like a brat and let's get this started."

Natulala pa silang dalawa sa sigaw ko but eventually they recovered and followed my orders. Yung totoo ako ba ay secretary o boss? Tsk these two guys are way too much. Maaga kong tatanda sakanila.

It's the first day of the expansion project and we're here to actually start the construction. I mean not literally but to formally hand over the designs and installations for the building. The program started in an instance and it's actually smooth sailing.

May mangilang-ngilan pang company officials ang dumalo. This project is huge as in HUGE. Ilang milyon ang gagastusin para matapos ito at lahat ng materials ay Class A talaga specially picked by the engineers and architects to assure the quality.
