..rewrite the Eyes of Azure trilogy as an original?

I've actually been thinking about this, and somehow, it kinda makes sense? I'm not joking—I do love the plot, but there are several loopholes, and it just doesn't seem to be much of a fanfiction anymore, what with all the original takes I've strung together for this story.
Everything just connects and unravels at certain points, and yes—I've always been wanting to know your reactions when it comes to several scenes that I've already drafted for these books—but it just.. doesn't appeal to me anymore. I've kinda lost my motivation for writing for EA as a fanfic, and I've been getting several ideas here and there as to how I'd remake this into an original, if need be.
It's not a definite idea yet, and I might post several ideas on here about this possible original remake, but I first want to know your opinions about this, guys.
So... what do you think? Should I, or shouldn't I?
