26~The Sacrifice

We both ran towards him "come on we gotta get outta here" Ethan says

"I don't think so" we all turn to see two men standing before us

"Kate has requested your presence"

"Well you tell that psychotic witch that she's done enough damage" Ethan says back

The men chuckle "it's funny that you think you have a choice" the other one moves his hand in a twisting motion and everything went dark

I woke up on the ground

I jump up and see that a circle in the dirt is made around me and Ethan

I notice that Grayson, Brie and Olivia were also trapped in there own circles

Olivia was now conscious with tears in her eyes

Ethan and Grayson were also awake up Brie was still unconscious

All of a sudden Brie inhales deeply and jumped up

She looks around panicked and confused then she lifts her hand to her neck

"How am I here? I-I thought I was dead" she says. "You're in transition"

She looks at me confused but the more I look at her in pity she begins to form tears in her eyes

" o. No no no I can't be a vampire" she panicked. "Brie. Everything's going to be ok. I promise" I say to comfort her

Kate then shows up and walks over to a spell book and a bowl sitting on a fallen over rock

"Why are you doing this?" I say. "To save my family" she says. "Why us?" I question her. "Because, revenge" she say. "What?"

She ignores me

"It'll be hard doing the sacrifice without doppelgänger blood. We cloaked the only two living doppelgängers. Good luck finding them in time"

"Is that what that stupid witch told you? That I needed doppelgänger blood, god you would think that old witch would know better. I'm so glad we killed her when got the chance. I don't need doppelgänger blood, I NEED blood from the petrova bloodline. Being one of the doppelgänger's would have been just a plus. So, since you are apart of the petrova bloodline, you'll work just fine"

I look over and the men enter my circle and cut my arm then collected it into the bowl, then gave the bowl to Kate

"Let's begin"

She began to chant a really confusing spell

Then Grayson, Brie and Olivia all fell on their knees and screamed in pain as their eyes and ears began to bleed

"STOP" I shouted but she continued to chant

I turned to Ethan and he looked around for something on the ground

He found a patch of dirt and threw it at her

Once it hit her she stopped

"Don't take them" he said "take me"

I was surprised at his selflessness but I knew I couldn't allow him to do this
