She imagined
A greater place.
She pondered about
An illogical oasis.
Once she got her dream
she sobbed.
When she realized her mistake
It was too late.
Why do you cry,child?
When you have what you wanted.
Why are you sad,young one?
This is what you wanted,-
Right?
There was logic
In your fairytale world.
There was reason
In you make-believe castle
For you go frustrated
When the key was too far,
You began to cry
When no one helped.
Even your castle of you dreams
Had multiple mistakes
Even the sugary sweets
Tasted of bitter sorrow.
pain and confusion
cannot be erased
even in castles that sit under the surface.
Don't cry, dear Alice.
For you may drown in your tears
yet still breathe. .
How did you not drown?
for you had oceans
and tides of tears and depression.
I,on the other hand,
only have silent and small,
painful tears that suffocate
. I am drowning in my own tears
while you are beginning to sail.
But it seems like you did not think with logic
When you began to sail.
I shall do the same, dear Alice.
For your tears were logical.
I will think, next time, with my heart
and not me head. Stop crying, dear Alice.
The worst is gone
just get the key and
open the door.
