Chapter 4: Affections - Love is complicated

In a big room, about six people inside including Mr. Higel was looking at the big monitor. As the show was over, one of them reacted "Why did you kill Kerstan?"

"She's just a small role in the pilot episode, not a main cast" Mr. Higel said

"It's a shame. I like her. Who's the actress?" said the other one

"Andy, she's a newbie" Mr. Higel answered.

"Really? She looked familiar." the one seated in the big boss seat said.

"She's on the Midtone magazine cover with Cass" he answered

"Yeah. Alright" the big boss smiled "You're on. I'll be expecting nine more episodes for season 1"

Mr. Higel smiled. "Thank you. Thank you so much" Mr. Higel went out of the room with a big smile and a surprise for the cast and crew of "THE PAPER SMITH"

It was Saturday, my day off. I'm relaxing after a busy week. As I'm about to close my eyes for a nap, I heard my phone ringing. When I looked who's calling, a smile came out of me, it's my girlfriend. "Hello" I answered

"Andy!" Cass called in an excited tone "We're on. The paper Smith just got the contract." she excitedly announces.

"Nice. Congratulations" I smiled

"I'm going there." She said "I'm going to be busy by next week and I don't want you to get mad at me" she added

"Alright" I agreed

I went in to prepare something when she visits. After a few minutes, I heard someone knocking on my door. She's a bit fast. As I opened the door, it was not Cass who was standing in front. "Hey" I greeted

It was Gary. He's already back and in front of my door. He's still handsome as ever. He grown his beard and his skin is brownish than before, maybe due to long exposure to sun. He smiled at me, the same smile I've fallen for. "Surprise" he said then pulls out a wine "I bought this at Brazil. I decided to drink this with you and I was so excited that I directly went here after the plane landed." he said

I smiled at him. He was the same as before, so sweet. "Come in" I said

Gary was still carrying his luggage from his trip. "Are you expecting someone?" he asks as he sees food in the table.

"Yeah. I'm expecting Cass" I answered

"You two have gotten close ha" he said

"Yeah. We are."

He looked at me "I want to tell you something" he said

"Oh. I also want to tell you something" I said. I should admit my relationship with Cass to him. He should know. We're close friend, we’re best friends.

"Go on" He said

"Maybe you should go first" I said

"Alright." he started "When I'm in Brazil, I can't stop thinking about you."

"Alright" I have a very bad feeling about this.

"And then I realize... Hey," he looked at me "I'm in love with her. I'm in love with you"

Oh my God!!!  Why now?! I said to myself.

He held my hands "I want our friendship to go to the next level. I want you to be my Girlfriend".

I looked at him as he held me closer and kissed me.

This is really confusing. This is bad. This is really bad, but this is what I wanted. What will I do? Cass and I are already in good terms. I answered his kisses as the door opens.
