Chapter 25: John's Promise

To give you a run through of what just happened, Annie just jumped off our school building holding Daniella so she as well, is being dragged off the narrow pedestal.

The crowd is crying and chattering and I couldn't help my tears from falling.

"Richard, let's pull out the bouncy thing from the school's store room." I said.

Richard agreed so we ran as fast as we could and sprinted the stairs.

We finally reached the store room and pulled out the inflatable bed they use so that when someone commits suicide and falls they won't get hurt.

"Oh no. Richard! It's not yet inflated!" I screamed.

Katie and Eric were running towards us.

"You guys need help?" Eric asked.

"Yes! Help me out inflate this thing!" I said.

So the four of us were busy inflating this thing and carried it outside of the school.

"Katie, this is your cue!" I said.

Katie is good in Geometry and Physics so I believe she can measure how much pressure is needed and to what direction will we place this big thing.

You know the acceleration and deceleration.. Whatever, that's Katie's forte.

"Okay! Let's go there! More to the left." She instructed.

"Quick!" I yelled, my eyes were swollen from crying.

Both of them are falling and in no time, they'll reach the ground.

Maybe it's adrenaline that we managed to run so fast and our bodies can carry such a heavy thing.

We finally reached the destination and both of them landed.

They fell on the inflatable bed and the pressure was so strong that it deflated the inflatable bed.

Annie stood up with an antagonized look on her face.

"Geez! Really! Why did you save me from dying?!"

Annie strangled Eric and Katie was stopping her.

Me and Katie then went to check on Daniella who was lying unconscious.

"Daniella! Daniella!" I screamed.

The people crowded on us even John.

"I'll carry her!" John volunteered.

John carried her straight to the infirmary and we stayed outside.

I giggled.

It's out of love maybe.

The pain on my chest was unwavering.

I stared at Daniella and I cursed myself for not saving her.

I wish I was there yet it's too late.

I told Amy and Katie to leave me alone first with Daniella.

I held her hand tightly and kissed it.

I was grieving when Annie went in the infirmary.

I stood up and grabbed her angrily.

"What did you do to her?!" I said.

Annie chuckled and replied.

"Nobody told her to stop me."
