Nikki's POV:

"I can be your hero, baby. I can kiss away the pain." Aiden's voice continued to sing quietly into my ear.

"I will stand by you forever. You can take, my breath away." I felt a tear slide down my cheek, causing me to bury my face into his neck, breathing in the scent of him.

"Would you swear, that you'll always be mine?" I never knew that Aiden could sing.

"Would you cry? Would you run and hide?" His voice mesmerized me, my finger tapping my other hand at each note.

"Am I in to deep? Have I lost my mind?" I wondered why of all songs, he had decided to sing this one.

"I don't care. You're here, tonight." I decided to forget about it and rest my mind.

"I can be your hero, baby. I can kiss away the pain." My mind went blank, and all I could think about was now. Just Aiden and I, and nothing else.

My eyes fluttered open to see a shirt. The shirt was on a boy, and that boy was Aiden. I looked up to see his eyes closed, arms still wrapped around me.

I must've fallen asleep. I thought to myself. The last thing I remember was Aiden singing...Aiden was singing to me. Everything came rushing back to me. Aiden had come over to comfort me about...stuff, and then he had started to sing to me.

I turned my head to my clock, reading the time as 8:23am. Aiden stayed with me all night? I was confused about why he had, not that I had a problem with it.

p his time making sure I was okay like this? Doesn't he have better things to do? Like playing sports or video games or skateboarding or whatever guys like him do in their spare time. I thought to myself, starting to wonder what he would do in his free time.

Before my mind drifted off any further, I snapped back to the main problem here; what am I going to do now? I had slept with him last night - not that way, ya' little nasty's - and I don't know what to do because he's still asleep.

I tried to come up with another one of my brilliant plans, failing to. I have never been in this situation before, and nobody I know has been either. The best I can do right now is go back to sleep or wait for him to wake up.

I know I could just wake him up, but I hate doing that to people. They're trying to have a peaceful sleep and are probably having nice dreams, then you go ahead and wake them up. It's common courtesy to leave them be.

"Mornin' beautiful." Aiden said, stretching out his arms as he sat up. Oh thank god. I thought to myself.

Wait, did he just call me beautiful? I started to slightly blush, trying to stop myself. He obviously saw, blushing a bit himself.

"And I mean that in the most "friend like" way possible." He explained, clearing things up for me. I smiled, feeling the redness fade from my face.

"Good morning." I beamed, bringing myself up into a sitting position. I faced him, continuing to grin.

"Sleep well?" He asked, obviously meaning that he wanted to know if I was okay after yesterday.

"Yah, I did. How about you? Did you sleep well?" I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes, then stretching my arms to the sloped ceiling.

"Yep." He said, looking down at the sheets laying on the bed. "Well, um. I should probably get going." He got up off the bed and walked towards the door.

"No." I shot up off the bed, blurting it out unconsciously. Aiden smirked at my outburst, turning back around to face me. Quickly I tried to come up with a reason, but to be honest I wasn't sure why I didn't want him to leave. "I mean, you must be hungry. I'll make some breakfast."

I walked past Aiden, out of the room. I tried to hide the blush creeping across my cheeks with my hair as I headed down the staircase.

Once we got into the kitchen, I searched the pantries for something to eat. I pulled out a carton of eggs, a block of cheese, milk, various spices,  a few slices of bacon, and some peppers and onions. Placing the ingredients on the counter, I got out various kitchen utensils.

"What are you planing on making today, Chef Nikki?" Aiden asked teasingly, walking up from behind me and eyeing the food.

"I'm not sure." I said, starting to break an egg open into a small bowl.

"What do you 'you're not sure'?" He asked, cracking another egg into the bowl.

"It'll be an experiment." I said, smiling at him. I pointed to a pan that had been on the counter. "Can you fry the bacon in that stove-top pan, please?"

"Sure. Crispy or juicy?" He asked, turning on the stove and placing the bacon into a pan.

"Either will do just fine. But I'm feeling crispy today." I replied. Smiling from ear to ear, I whisked the eggs while slowly adding some milk.

We continued to add the ingredients into a muffin tray, filling up four of the holes. I placed them in the oven and let them cook for a while.

Once I pulled them out, the smell filled up the kitchen. It smelled of eggs and bacon on a Saturday morning. That's right, eggs and bacon aren't just for Sunday's anymore.

"Mmmm. That smells delicious!" Aiden exclaimed, reaching for one with his right hand. I slapped it away before he could grab one.

"Not yet, they're still hot. Wait 'till they cool down first." I scolded Aiden, walking over to the stereo.

"What are you doing?" Aiden asked me, rubbing his hand slightly.

"I always like to start off the day with a little music." I explained, taking out my phone after turning on the stereo.

"What song?" Aiden asked.

I scrolled through my songs, landing on the perfect one. I tapped on it, letting it play through the speakers.

"Mayday mayday, the ship is slowly sinking. They think I'm crazy but they don't know the feeling."

"Wait, you know "My Demons"?" Aiden asked, shocked.

"Hell yah. Starset is awesome." I said, turning up the volume slightly.

"They're all around me, circling like vultures. They wanna' break me and wash away my colours."

Aiden smiled at me, starting to bob his head. "Apparently we have something in common."

"Take me high and I'll sing. Oh, you make everything ok, ok, ok." I started to dance around the room. And it wasn't the graceful type of dancing, it was the "awkwardly looking like someone swatting flies and dancing with a broom" type dancing.

"We are one in the same. Oh, you take all of the pain away, away, away." Aiden smirked at me as I danced past him. Eventually he began to dance with me and we jumped around the kitchen while we waited for the food to cool.

"Save me if I become, my demons." We both sang together, not caring what we looked or sounded like. I laughed as we continued to dance around. I hadn't had this much fun in a while, and it felt good.

Author's Note:

*sigh* I'm not gonna lie, this was probably one of my favourite chapters to write. Mainly because of how cute and cheesy it is. If only real life was like that.

I hope that you few people reading this are liking it so far, and please leave your ideas and thoughts down in the comments below if you have any. Thanks so much for reading my book!

PS I know that the story is a bit messy and all over the place. I made it this way so it has a lot of flexibility and it's not predictable. Right now you can't really guess what is going to happen, and if you think you know, you're wrong. I have an ending already planned out and it's not even close to what you're thinking.

Have an amazing day!
