I looked down at the crate of energy drinks me and my friend Leah just bought. A case of six Monsters for only 10$ was one of the best deals I've ever seen. Mom told me not to ever drink energy drinks until I'm in university because their bad for me. I've always been somewhat curious bout them thought. Today me and Leah summoned up 10,70$and courage, and bought some. Were only 10, but it didn't stop the man from giving us 40 cents in cash back. Looking at the crate, the crate of no hesitation or shame. Or guilt. Leah tore open the plastic of the top of the crate and took out a orange can of Monster. I slowly rested my hand on the top of a blue one. Pulling it out, rain began to fall. I believed in fate and destiny. Maybe the rain was a warning. I heard Leah's can click open and she took a huge gulp. I looked down at mine nervously. A little unsure now, I opened my own can. Looking at the insides somewhat scared, I took in a breath and sipped a huge mouthful of the sweet tingly sensation. I felt rain hit my head and I suddenly felt nice. I smiled, and looked at my friend beside me. She was looking at me also. "Mine is sour." she pointed out with a small sour lip. I laughed. "Mine is pretty sweet. Does yours make your mouth tingle a bit?" I asked her curious if it was just me. She nodded her head. "A little. Yours does?" She questioned. "Yea," I said eyebrows raised. We traded drinks. Quickly taking a sip of her can, I slammed it back down on the side of ledge we were sitting on. I coughed it out. I was not expecting it to be so sour. Suddenly questioning my own intelligence, I took my can back. Leah finished her can fairly quick. She squished it with her foot, slamming it hard against the cement of the road. Rain fell harder. Mine wasn't even nearly finished and we still had four left. "We have to finish them all before our parents to for a walk and see us. And we can't bring them home or hide them anywhere someone will find them!" she reminded me, encouraging me to drink faster. "Kay," I simply said.

Thunder rang through the sky.

Splash. Kick. Roll. Splat. Splash. Kick. Roll. Splat. I splayed a puddle making a small splash fly up onto the road. Kicking the pebble and making it roll. Splat, a raindrop hit my head. Looking on both sides I crossed the street, walking into a deep puddle by accident. Giggles sounded from my left. Looking with my eyes slit in curiosity, I stepped over to where the giggled had come from. Two young girls sat on a rocky ledge laughing and singing. Two cans in front of each of them lay squished. They each had a can in their hands. A small box, of which I can assume the cans came from, sat in front of them beginning to blow around in the wind. "Hello!" one of the girls shouted over to me. Willing my head to whip in her direction once more, I saw the girls more clearly. "Your parents are probably worried sick about you both. It's raining and it's ugly out. Go home." I said taking a step forward. "And what the hell are you guys drinking back so quickly?" I demanded a bit worried. "Drinking Monster, and moms don't care!" Said one with bleach blonde hair. The other has red hair and was belching a unfamiliar song. "What would you do if I La La La La Laaaaa! Woa Woa Woa woaaaaaaa oh oh ohaaaa!" She said sounding somewhat unsteady. Rolling my eyes, I picked up one of the squished cans and looked the the label. Energy drinks, Monsters like the girl had mentioned. Throwing it back on the ground in disgust, I took my phone out of my back pocket. I began texting Dorrian when one of the little girls threw hr can at my head, stopping me. "What the hell!?" I screamed. "Why are you two out here for anyways?" I exclaimed. "My name is Leda or Leds and all I wanted to do was try a energy drinks. Me and Leah meant i harm we're sorry." One of them excused them. she tried to get up, but her head spun and she sat right back down. "I feel kinda dizzy." She mumbled. She went to pick up her can. The other girl who threw her can at me just looked at me. Leda drank from her can. Gasping, I reached out and picked it from her grasp. "Hey! Bastard!" she yelled at me full blast. "How old are you girls?" "10." is my only reply. She took her can back. "why the hell are you guys drinking this shit?" I said being unable to control my fury and frustration. Who would waste their money on this first of all! And second don't this kids know they could kill themselves with these? Taken by shock, I heard Ledas voice. "want one?" she said, holding her's out to me. I blinked back surprise. "What?" I said knowing exactly what she had said. Without realization of what I was doing, I grabbed it, holding it tight. Leda sat down, looking comfortable. Leah suddenly got up. She ran to hr other side of the ledge and I has guessed she threw up right then and there. I couldn't help it laugh. These two girls were daring and they were just having fun. I did it at their age! Without thinking I threw my head back and finished the can. Energy drinks aren't supposed to hurt you if you only have like, two cans a day. Well one gulp of the sweet stuff got me dizzy. I obviously drank it to fast. This all reminded me of my sister and her mistake of drugs. Who am I to be angry with her? I'm pretty much doing the same thing now. Feeling guilty, but not caring, I got up. "Im going inside. I'm getting another." I told the girls. They looked at each other as I walked away to the Macs, and I opened the door. As soon as I entered, I saw my sister.
